Pros: Everything.Staff, amenities, location, condition,dining. Fabulous hotel...fabulous stay!!
Cons: shuttle to airport...cost us $63 by taxi
Location: Right downtown Halifax with beautiful view. Museums historic sights as well as shopping close.
excellent stay. High end hotel. staff wonderful. great amenities....gym, dining. felt pampered. The guy who checked us in felt sorry for our having been storm bound in Halifax and upgraded our room....excellent. We so appreciated it after having such an exhausting day of travel !!!

Much too noisy.

Pros: The location and restaurant. The front desk and restaurant staff were lovely to deal with.
Cons: This hotel has many terrific features. They need to take steps to address the sound proofing issue and perhaps attempt to isolate large groups.
Location: The waterfront and downtown Halifax is quite walkable from this location.
We stayed two nights in Halifax at the beginning of a driving trip through the Maritimes. I had chosen this hotel for its location and view, with the expectation of a higher quality facility. The positive features were unfortunately completely overshadowed by the disturbances we experienced both nights, and we were unable to get sufficient rest. The door to our room was not sealed for privacy, with visible gaps around the sides and bottom of the door. I mention this because there seemed to be no barrier at all from noises in the hall. There was a group of young people staying on our floor who visited between rooms well into the early hours of the morning on our first night. We assumed they would be going out to party somewhere else, as they were dressed formally, but that did not happen. They were drinking and became progressively louder as their night went on. This included boisterous conversations in the hall, in various doorways, and on cell phones. The sound of their doors constantly opening and shutting was quite loud and seemed to echo. I finally called the front desk to complain, well after midnight, and was assured that it would be taken care of. Although some of them did eventually leave, the noise continued well into the early hours. And unfortunately our second night was not much better, as a second large group visited between rooms late into the night. We left our room fan on in an attempt to mask the noise, but did not sleep well at all.

Super for our family trip to Halifax

Pros: Poolside room
Cons: A drying rack for swimsuits would be nice
Location: Visitor's Centre and it's great playground, Maritime Museum, Discovery Centre, Farmer's Market. Up the hill is the Citadel.Lots of restaurants nearby
Great location, we walked to the nearby Discovery Centre, Scotiabank Centre, Citadel Hill...etc. We had a room on the pool and loved it, we could sit poolside while the kids swam for hours. The pool is open to families until 10pm so be prepared for noise.Parking on site is $24per day with in/out privileges. The beds are comfy and the hotel is clean.

Great hotel close to everything

Pros: Large room, clean, nice bar and restaurant, great breakfast.
Cons: Free water and more tea/milk would be nice, although they did get us extra when we asked!
Location: Close to Casino, harbour front, downtown, museum etc.
Hotel does not disappoint, good amenities and close to everything, right on the harbour front.

The hotel stay was great location great but service in the restaurant downstairs was very slow and if food was not of quality I expected.

BEDS WERE TO SMALL, HAD A FAMILY OF 4 AND DOUBLE 2 DOUBLE BEDS ARE NOT THE BEST SHOULD OF BEEN QUEEN SIZE BEDS, I WAS TOLD THEY ONLY HAD ONE KING SIZE BED IN A ROOM OR 2 DOUBLE BEDS IN A ROOM, DIDN'T GO WELL WITH MY FAMILY..
