Good hotel close to waterfront

The hotel was really nice, the room however was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was in need of repairs, the floor and sink vanity were cracked. Also, the bed was hard and pillows were too soft. There was also a Christmas party going on downstairs, and we could hear the music in our room on the 4th floor, as well as many people talking and screaming in the halls. It was close to many restaurants and amenities however which was nice.

It was not perfect stay, but we can say it was OK

Pros: The staffing were very nice, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.
Location: I liked the location; it's so close to the supermarket and restaurants. And Taxis are always available in front of the door.
Based on the room pictures that we saw in the hotel website , we did a room reservation for three quests, but when we arrived into the room we were surprised because it was nothing like the picture; the room was so dull with a very small window and very small bathroom. We talked to the receptionist to change the room with a better one but they told us that all rooms are the same. Then they gave us another room with a bigger window, it was better than the first one but it has a poor ventilation.

Hotel was okay, not at all the same as advertised

Did not expect to pay 20$ for parking. Never paid for parking ever in Halifax hotels. Room was much smaller and less classy than shown and explained online. Rate was fair.

Too dated and stained

Pros: the lobby and the staff
Cons: Everything about the rooms.
I was very disappointed in my recent stay at the hotel. I have been to the Weston for meetings, etc and more recently stayed there. I expected the rooms to be nice as the lobby and meeting rooms are very nice. I expected the rooms to be small as the hotel is quite old but I did not expect the décor to look like it was still from the 1950's nor to have stained carpeting. The Weston charges a similar room rate as other hotels on the downtown strip but they do not match the quality of the other hotels. The room rate is much to high for the quality of the rooms. I will not be staying there again. On the upside, the staff is very nice.

Fantastic service

I arrived at the Halifax Westin on short notice, due to an emergency. The front desk staff tried to help me in any way they could, specifically Jessica, Rose, and Maeghan. This made a stressful situation less so.

conference stay

3 nights for a conference. Very comfortable hotel and facilities (good gym). Not as centrally located as many other hotels but still a very nice stay.

A tired property a little distant from the vibrant parts of Halifax. Unable to enter the hotel on arrival because of a conference that had essentially bought the hotel. No accommodations or warnings for guests wanting to check in - just told to wait outside.

Friendly staff but horrible rooms

My daughter and I couldn’t even move in our room. The bathroom was beyond tiny and wasn’t very clean...
