Located in the Gulf of Tonkin, Halong Bay is dotted with thousands of islands and islets. Towering limestone pillars sculpted by nature create a magical seascape that is unique in all the world. Emeraude itineraries and activities include guided tours of Sung Sot Grotto and a floating fishing village, a stop at Titov Island, with its popular beach; cooking demonstrations; squid fishing (seasonal); and complimentary Tai Chi on the sundeck. Spa services are available for a surcharge. After dark, guests can gather topside for a viewing of the movie Indochine, featuring scenes filmed on Halong Bay.

Before boarding, guests can relax in the Emeraude Café, located in Bai Chay, the gateway to Halong Bay. The café offers a wide selection of international foods, along with free wireless Internet access.

Please note: Halong Bay is approximately 170 km (105 miles) from Hanoi. Transportation to Halong Bay takes about three to four hours. Special check-in instructions:

Guests must contact this cruise ship 3 days in advance to arrange transportation from Hanoi- Old Quarter or at Hanoi Opera House, which is 4 hours away by car. A roundtrip daily transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long departs between 7:45 AM and 8 AM, at USD 30 per passenger. Following the cruise, a van will transport guests back to Hanoi. Please contact the office using the information on the reservation confirmation received after booking.
This cruise ship's itinerary includes the following:
1st Day: Arrive at Emeraude Café on Ha Long Bay by noon for embarkation. After a Vietnamese buffet lunch, cruise on Halong Bay toward Sung Sot Grotto for guided shore excursion. At 4 PM, cruise to Pearl farm for kayaking or swimming. Reboard for evening activities, dinner, and overnight aboard the ship.
2nd Day: After Tai Chi and refreshments, head to Ho Dong Tien Area (April-October) for swimming and kayaking or Luon Cave (November-March) for a bamboo boat ride. Breakfast is served while cruising Bai Tu Long Bay through Ba Hai and Hang Ma islands. After check-out, the boat returns to Emeraude Café for disembarkation by 11:15 AM. Shuttle van services transport guests to Hanoi.
