Hreat location - we will be back
10 to 15 minutes walk to main station is why we chose this property.yes, it is located on a busy street but the windows are well isolated. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Perfectly clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Everything fine great hotel just little bit small shower but otherwise the service are great. You paid for what you get and you get good hotel with good location.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is not air conditioned and the first night of our three night stay, I asked for a fan and was told that they don’t have fans. It was too loud, being right in the middle of two main streets, to keep the window open at night so we were miserable. The next morning, we had decided to check out early. I told the front desk that it was too hot and that they should at least offer fans to guests. Much to my surprise, I was told that they do indeed have fans for guests. No one could tell me why the night staff told me otherwise. We ended up stayed so as not to lose our money and got two fans for the room, which helped marginally. Overall, the staff is not friendly, the surroundings of the hotel are shady, and the lack of airflow in the hotel is stifling.

Can not change German culture regarding air conditioning- but since there was not one in the room,the only way for fresh air was to open the windows. However, it is on a major street, and near a set of train tracks (in use), so it got generally pretty loud at times. Additionally, there was at least one night that persons were smoking on the sidewalk...

Good clean hotel service good . Rooms ok, Pillows were very uncomfortable very strange ! Area around hotel Isn’t great but not hotels fault just jump in a taxi ! Noise outside wasn’t that bad at all .

Deterioating standard?
We stayed here for a third time now and at every stay it seems that the condition of the hotel is deteriorating: a. The room was smelly - a mixture of sharp cleaning materials and stench in the carpet/curtains) b. No free welcome water - but a bottle of sparkling water for 4 Euro - but warm - the fridge has been taken away, c. There was air condition in the room but no controls to switch it on - hence we had to sleep in an overheated room. The windows could not be opened due to the noise of the nearby station (ok that is beyond control and does not influence my rating). Overall I did not feel comfortable in the room this time. Parking is available for 10 Euro a day - expensive but ok - but to ask 5 Euro per night for our bicycles (each bike!!!) is quite over the top!!! We were always quite happy staying here (visit of relatives) and I hope that this trend will be reversed but if this continues we will look for another stay when visiting Hamburg.

More Pillows.
Spa doesnt open until 5pm ????? You only get 1 pillow, its that flat i've seen tracing paper you can fluff. Facilities need an upgrade bit dated reminds me of the scarisbrick hotel in southport, never a 4 star hotel. If you want cheap and clean its ok i guess.

The hotel itself, whilst unimpressive from the outside, was extremely modern, clean and well presented from the lobby to the bedrooms. Hotel staff were very helpful, providing additional pillows on request and the bar staff were lovely, allowing me to upgrade the mocktail of the day to an alcoholic version! Unfortunately, the hotel location was quite a distance from the main centre of Hamburg however it was easy enough to navigate after the first day and it seemed that there were a lot of hotels around with similar issues. An Aldi nearby meant we were able to enjoy drinks in our hotel room and the train station is not far at all, enabling easy access to the airport. Would definitely stay again, lovely place.

Nice place to stay.
Great place to be. Quite close to the main train station with all connections available. most staff members are really really Good and will help anytime but in any enviroment, there are always weird people. But in all, my stay was perfect. No minibar or refrigerator in the room is the only complain I ca raise.

The breakfast was good; The elevator was smelly; Air conditioning in the room was ineffective but opening the window instead was not a good option either due to a lot of road noise outside; I found the single beds rather small and uncomfortable, with unsupportive mattresses. Also the curtains were ineffective at keeping light out in the early hours of the morning which, together with the uncomfortable beds, could lead to disturbed sleep.

The room was bigger than what we expected and the location of the hotel is great .The only thing that was a bit irritating, was that the bathroom smelled of cigar when the airvent was not on, and as a result the towels were smelling too. But overrall it was a great stay

Fair, but I won’t come here again.
First of all, the area is quiet, so it’s not situated in a busy area. A bit dark on the way back to the hotel at night. It’s about 10 min walk from the central station. It says it’s a 4 star hotel, but I only feel like it’s a 3 star, given that there are very limited supplies of necessities in the room eg no slippers, no toothbrush etc. I can’t even buy a pair of slippers from the fromt desk. When I want to call the front desk from my room only to realise that there is no way for me to do so. There is no fridge in the room. The corridor is also dark. The only thing to praise is that the room and the bathroom are clean.
