Great vacation

Beautiful island and hotel. Great location. We didn't want to leave. People at the hotel we're very nice and accommodating.

Still our favorite island and hotel

Pros: The entire experience of our stay was pleasant, particularly enjoyed the dinner at the main restaurant, MARCUS. The restaurant has a fantastic view.
Cons: A shuttle service to the downtown area and the ferry dock might be a plus.
Location: The downtown area has fewer shops etc. than we remembered from before due to the cruise ships moving to the dockyard but everything is accessible .
We arrived at the Hamilton Princess after a long absence having heard it had recently been renovated. It did not fail in any of the superlatives we had read about. The facilities were fantastic, from the lobby to the room to the restaurants and pools. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Front desk, restaurant staff and room service were all great. We were very fortunate to have had good weather during our stay so we were able to do all that we planned without concern for the weather even though the hotel did not affect that.

Excellent hotel. Staff great. Perfectly located.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Check in times should be honored. We waited about two hours past check in until our room was ready, but the staff more than made up for the delay.
Location: All amenities you would want to do are in walking distance. The scooter location was next door, a market was 100 yards away, restaurants very close.
Possibly the best vacation experience my wife and I have every enjoyed. Beautiful Island. Had a blast. We will return!

Warm welcome and friendly service throughout the stay. Fabulously clean and great location for local supermarket, shops and ferry/ bus.

Superb location!

We are thrilled to have stayed at the Hamilton Princess. The view was fantastic. Pools, spa, dining all excellent. Staff and concierge were helpful and very friendly. We are glad we stayed here as restaurants, shopping and nightlife were just a short walk from the hotel. Bus , taxi and ferry also close by. We could explore the entire island from this location. The jutney to the private beach club was timely and convenient. Everyone Was so nice!

Close to town/shuttle to their private beach

A very large property with multiple restaurants and pools. It's only a 5 - 10 minute walk to downtown. They even have their own shuttle to a private beach 20 minutes away. Highly recommend. We did the cooking class at Marcus's. It was fantastic

Inconsistent restaurant bills

We are a family of four with two children under the age of twelve and we're supposed to get a 50% discount for the kids when we ordered from the adult menu, this was applied inconsistently depending on which waiter was serving you. Besides this small issue everything else was perfect.

Pleasant Surprise

I was skeptical about this hotel as I was pulling up to the property. The front of the hotel doesn't doesn't do the inside any justice. The facilities and grounds were amazing. Both pools are great. Plenty of outside seating including 2 fire pits for relaxing and enjoying the views. The artwork around the entire hotel is very chic and modern. They have an awesome Marina and the view from a boat passing by is incredible. The only drawback is taking a shuttle to their private beach club but when you arrive you'll definitely be happy. They have changing rooms, lockers, cabanas, free equipment for water sports like Paddle Boards & Kayaks. The food is expensive at the hotel and they add the mandatory gratuity for each purchase so be mindful of that. My room was very clean and nicely appointed. It felt really up to date. The bathroom is small but it's beautiful and designed well. I was also surprised how many premium cable channels our TV had. I was able to watch all my shows at night as well as the morning before starting my day. There is also plenty to do in terms of tourism and sightseeing. The buses are inexpensive and boat tours are great and could be easily found in Hamilton or Dockyard. I would definitely stay here again.

Not a "Luxury" Hotel

Pros: The little ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise jars given with lunch.
Cons: Fix the window, thermostat, bathtub plug, clean and rake the private beach, charge less money for the old broken down room.
I only booked 1 night to try the Hamilton Princess in Bermuda to see if it was worth the outrageous daily rate. It wasn't. We were given a tiny outdated misshapen corner room. It was next to the elevator shaft that annoyingly vibrated the room all day and night. I had 2 suitcases for us 3 girls. One suitcase was put in the crooked, dark corner closet that you couldn't see in. The other one had to be put on the desk because there was no floor space. The room was smelly and cold. The thermostat didn't work, and the 1 little window we had wouldn't stay open on it's own for us to get some fresh air in. The girls wanted a bath but the plug for the tub didn't work. At night, I couldn't read my book in bed, or keep my phone plugged in by me because there was no nightstand, lamp, or electrical outlet near to the bed. We wanted to sleep in so I requested wake up call. Housekeeping came in and woke us up two hrs earlier. We took the hotel shuttle to the private beach. No one dared to go swimming at the main beach because the water was a scary, dark moldy green color. We were told to walk up and over the big hill to the beach on the other side because there was clear water over there. Unfortunately there were no beach chairs or umbrellas provided for the guests. Everyone had to had to wear sandals the entire time on the sand because the beach had not been maintained at all. There was hard baked crunchy dried seaweed strewn across beach. This hotel doesnt deserve the title of "Luxury"
