We stayed for one night for a spa break. We rarely leave public reviews but on this occasion it feels like the only opportunity to give the hotel some feedback. From planning our trip to when we left, we experienced many episodes of miscommunication or lack of communication, confusion and small inconveniences which added up to a less than relaxing stay. There were discrepancies in the information given by the spa reception and reservations team about availability of spa treatment slots, and by the hotel and spa receptions about how we should coordinate check out/use of spa changing rooms (we had treatments booked at 10.30am on the day of check out, check out time is 11), the facial treatment did not match the online description, no information given to us that 2 out of 3 restaurants were closed on the night of our stay, no information given that the zen garden restaurant only serves a limited spa set menu at lunch and not a la carte. Pool area tired and not that clean. Could only get a dinner booking at Cambium at 9pm online. I left a message to ask if we could have an earlier table as I’m 7 months pregnant and it’s difficult to eat that late. Nobody responded. In the end, we went to the restaurant at 8.15pm. It was not busy and we were seated immediately. In the rooms, our bed base lacked a valance so the first thing we noticed was an ugly fire resistant tag. The patio chairs were dirty (clumps of moss). Staff are friendly, polite and helpful but the management is lacking.
