Staying in Milford On Sea

Posted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Room size and breakfast - set in lovely grounds
Cons: Refurb of bathroom
Location: Great location, near the sea and not far from Beulieu
My wife and I arrived about 6 pm for a nearby evening event. Check in was quick, the room was enormous although the bed wasn't. A large twin sink bathroom had a quite weak shower in the bath with a very leaky screen. The whole room was tired and ready for an upgrade. Breakfast was good, quick and plentiful. We would stay again but it was expensive.

Ruhige Lage des Hotels außerhalb von Lymington

Posted Sep 7, 2015

Nice hotel and great location

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Excellent food, friendly staff and very comfy room
Cons: Decor could do with a bit of TLC
Location: Short walk to Milford on Sea. Minutes away from the beach and great location to other towns.
Excellent location, hotel was a little worn out but was perfect for somewhere to sleep. Excellent food and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again and we will be as soon as we are in the area again.

Don't pay extra for a garden view

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Cons: The hotel is tired and needs updating, everything just about worked but not as well as you would expect. The garden is not well kept
Location: A short walk into the very nice resort of Milford on Sea
The staff were very nice except for one strange receptionist. We felt they were trying hard under difficult circumstances

Rural location

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: The rural aspect
Cons: Decor is a little jaded and wants a total overhaul.
Location: Nothing to do within walking distance, but Lymington Christchurch and Bournemouth all within easy reach by car
Quaint hotel but a little jaded but we found all the staff to be excellent.

Pleasent quiet hotel. Shame about the bathroom.

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Nice and relaxing with pleasent and mostly experienced staff. Good size accomodation and lounge. Food was excellent thogh smallish menu.
Cons: Our bathroom was in desparate need of refurbishment and really not acceptable, facilities were worn and old with cracked basins and missing groutting.
Location: Excellent location for exploring the region though it helps to have a car. The area is paked with things to do to suit all tastes.
Had a very pleasent stay anf looked after well. Enjoyed the food. Shame about the bathroom.

We saw the hotel on the net and thought it looked nice for a night away travelling back to essex from devon, once we arrived we could see the hotel was very tired looking, the room was nice and big again a little tired, the hotel could do with a refurbishment, but evening meal was good, and the breakfast was fresh cooked to order which was nice and tasted really good, the only downside with breakfast was size was very small,1 rasher of bacon,1 sausage,1 tomato etc,but tasted good anyway. Not sure if stay again.

Old and Dirty

Posted Jun 14, 2015 on Hotels
Arrived to a tun friendly receptionist just about managed to serve us,no info, had to ask where the room was, very tired, not cleaned, tea stains all down the furniture. Had sandwich in the nit came no caramelised onion, had no crisps with it. Breakfast toast pm hard flew off the plate, bacon had been just left couldn't get your fork in it.spoke to a couple who gone there for 20 years, they said they would never come back again,it's all agency staff, and you can never find any one to serve you. It's like Faulty Towers. Lovely grounds shame about the hotel awful
