Pros: Comfortable bedroom with plenty of space. Management was very accommodating in that we weren't forced to check out until after the conference at 1 pm
Cons: Most things ie décor and furnishings could be improved but it is fit for purpose. It doesn't pretend to be a Mayfair Hotel .
Location: Isolated but nearby Basingstoke is a short taxi journey where we enjoyed the best Chinese meal ever !!! A place called Tang
We stayed only 1 night as I had to attend a morning conference in the Hotel itself. It was perfectly adequate and comfortable but you wouldn't make it a holiday destination. Great breakfast !

Hotel in good location but very outdated.

Pros: Close location to town centre.
Cons: General decor around the hotel and the rooms were outdated.
Location: Short walk into town centre, lots of shops and restaurants in the main town. Close to station
Staff on arrival were very pleasant. Evening meal was great and breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel. The room though was outdated, the bed creaked and the decor generally throughout the hotel was outdated and needed replacing which we know is going ahead at present. Room was very warm though. Bed cover and net curtains could have been hand pressed as we were informed that the ironing machine was broken. Generally would recommend to other guests though.

Spacious Family Room

Pros: Quiet location close to main roads. Staff exceedingly helpful and friendly. Clean, neat, quiet rooms. Spacious room with bath tub. Parking space.
Cons: Provide more caffeinated coffee in the room please.
Location: We were on our way to Stonehenge from London. This was a perfect and affordable location to stay over.
We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious family room, and the kids were thrilled when they received their goodie bags. (This kept them entertained for quite some time!) The family room included a bath tub which made bathtime for the little ones very simple. The room was clean and neat, the bed was extremely comfortable (with a gorgeously firm mattrass) and we had a good night's rest. Dining room staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Great variety too. Overall only a positive experience which exceeded all our expectations. We will definitely stay here again if we ever travel in that direction, and will most certainly recommend it.

Pros: Staff were friendly.
Cons: Better heating.
Location: Close enough to Basingstoke Town Centre to walk. "Milestones" museum is about 3.5 miles away.
We arrived early but the staff were kind enough to let us have our room as it was ready. The hotel seemed to be not very busy. The lounge areas were nicely furnished and decorated for Christmas with Christmas trees which gave a pleasing atmosphere as you enter the hotel. I found the hotel to be cold. Heating in the lounge/restaurant areas was with the use of portable halogen heaters, there was only 2 in a very large area. In the bedrooms the heating is by wall mounted electric heaters which must be operated centrally by a timer because they turn off automatically at 8.30 am and cannot be switched on until the timer allows. Even with the heater on it was not very warm as they don't give out all that much heat you can easily put your hand on the heater even when it is on full heat. There was no heating in the bathroom. Our room had a shower over the bath which was adequate. We ate at the restaurant the two nights we were there. Food was fine but we were left waiting for drinks and had to ask to remind the waiter, and the wrong dessert was brought on one of the days. This would have been understandable had the restaurant been busy but there was only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. The main town centre is about 20 minutes brisk walk from the hotel through the close by memorial park,
