We just wanted a relaxing weekend break and we got just that. We didn’t make use of Spa facilities, but it looked very nice. Bar meal was good, service was friendly and helpful. Room was more than adequate. Only one small thing wrong… no glasses in room. Could easily be rectified. Excellent value for money.

We booked a superior king room for 2 adults and a child for 2 nights, redeemed a £125 night and still paid £198 and then arrived at 1 a.m., having told the hotel we would be this late to find thst we had a small double room with no extra bed. A put-u-up was put in quite quickly and we were upgraded for the second night, but feel that we overpaid fir whst we received.

Arrived with relatively low expectations because the reviews were average to good and the cost was pretty low. So I was really pleased to find the hotel in good condition and the room clean and well maintained. Used the pool which was great and very clean. No extra charge for my dog. They could have put us a bit nearer to an outside door (we were as far away as you could get) but that’s a minor point. If you want a country hotel set in grounds to walk your dog then this isn’t the place for you but it doesn’t sell itself as that. Overall I thought it was great value for money.

We liked the way the hotel was laid out with a lovely central courtyard area to sit & have drinks etc. The only gripe we had was the breakfast buffet was not replenished very quickly & people were waiting for various foods to come out. It was busy, but not very slick!

Lovely hotel
The Hampshire Court Hotel is a really lovely venue. Our room was cosy and the bathroom beautiful. The bed was good with comfortable pillows. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. Loved the selection available, and staff were attentive. Few minor points: I struggled to figure out how to use the bath as a bath and not a shower. Changing and leisure areas it feels like a maze as it’s so big- you have to walk through the family pool room to get to the adults only pool. The facilities there are nice. The breakfast station did run out of a lot of things as we got there… but they were filled up again. Just a little bit of waiting around. On the whole, I’d definitely stay again.

Love that the room had a balcony you could sit out on, a really nice and unique feature. The rooms are very comfortable. A fridge was the only thing that wasn't included. But all the facilities were great and staff were polite and friendly. Would definitely go back again.

Overpriced below average food
Check in was good. Room was clean. Details on the hotel website inaccurate, said that food would be available in the bar until 11pm after the restaurant closed at 9pm. Food service stopped at 9pm in the bar and bar closed at 10:30. Food was in my opinion overpriced and below average. Breakfast was OK it was a standard buffet. It was served in the restaurant which was very dark luckily both areas were open so we could sit by a window.

Great hotel
Staff are amazing. Great service and very helpful and friendly. Rooms are well presented and air con was nice. The steak dinner was terrible. Cheese salad had no cheese, it seemed to have been substituted with an enormity of raw tomato which was covered everything. I was very disappointed as I can not eat tomato. So I could not eat my salad or the chips. The steak itself was so tough I struggled to saw through it with the knife. extremely chewy and went from overly well done on the edges to bleeding and completely raw in the centre. It was already overpriced to begin with but I literally only got to eat the onion rings and a few chips. None of the cocktails on the menu were available and the bar closed very early for a hotel. The breakfast was very good. Everything was hot and good quality (except the fried egg for some reason). I would highly recommend this hotel, definitely would not use Hotels.com though. Extremely poor customer service, terrible app that barely works and the agents lied to me several times whilst trying to resolve a problem caused by the app(which cost me over £100 that was never rectified). Told me they were calling the hotel but no one was answering, a staff member and myself waited by the phone but no one called until I asked them several times to try again. Told me there were no rooms available to swap my booking, I then proceeded to book a room through the app so that wasn't true either. I would stay again.

we stayed here twice now 1st room was o k shower needed some work 2nd time was in a different room shower the same as the 1st room needed work but the worst thing was the carpets in both rooms they were to put it nicely very dirty and needed replacing there were stains on them buy a vax and get them cleaned not sure i would stay again staff very good

Easy parking and easy option for a mid-week stay. Asked for a quiet room and it was very good except for the radiator which constantly hissed, fortunately it was easy to turn it off. We paid extra for the mini bar which didn't include any snacks but we did make use of the Nespresso machine. Breakfast buffet was fine but no specific provision for vegans/ vegetarians so I probably wouldn't purchase it next time. Unfortunately, the EV charger is no longer there even though it shows on Google Maps, which was disappointing.

Disappointing overnight stay.
Overall disappointing. Check in we were asked to pay even though we had already done do. Room was a disabled twin and not the standard double asked for. Swimming pool in need of care and cleaning. There were damaged areas covered with chair and a dirty greasy tide mark all around the pool. The drinks in the bar were extremely overpriced eg £8 for a single shot of spirit. We ordered a drink at 10.10pm and were told it would be our only drink as they were closing even though the bar was meant to be open to 11pm When we eventually got the drinks the lemonade and coke was flat. It took another 15 minutes to get these replaced Breakfast was okay.
