The cutest B&B in the new forest

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: Bedroom. Freestanding bath, breakfast (cooked)
Cons: Aircon in the room, it looked like it was there but didn't do a thing. We had to have the windows open and the fan on full.
Location: So much, this in on the edge of the new forest. Cycling, walking, all kinds of places to visit.
Birthday stay so we booked a deluxe room with freestanding bath. On the down side they were renovating so there was a really strong smell of gloss paint in the room. But to be fair they did make this clear when we checked in and there was signs saying this. The room was beautiful, the softest bed and a gorgeous free standing roll top bath. Free water, robes etc. The aircon didn't do much so we had to sleep with the fan on as even with the windows open it was hot in there. Breakfast was great - the second time. Unfortunately we ordered some hot food, it took 30 minutes and when it arrived the food was cold. I think someone had genuinely forgotten which is why it was cold. However, I did tell them and they immediately rustled up a new hot breakfast which was fantastic. I didn't catch her name but the young, girl who did breakfast was absolutely brilliant, so friendly and helpful. I would stay here again for sure, it's the cutest B&B.

Nice hotel and nice pub with good food.

The smell of paint, slow wifi signal and slow food service were the downsides of an otherwise nice room and nice stay.

Pros: Large rooms.
Location: Just outside the New Forest, close to Beaulieu and Exbury Gardens.
We booked a superior room. Really large. Lovely big bathroom. Huge shower. Comfy bed. Really quiet. Fresh milk and bottled water available in fridge in reception.
