We enjoyed the facilities of theVillage. Excellent location for touring the area. Apt itself seems to not being taken care as before. Apt could use updating.

Spacious lodging in spectacular area

Vacation Village in the Berkshires is a lovely place to stay if one is taking a holiday in the Berkshires. It is about half-way between Lenox and Williamstown making it convenient for day trips around the whole area. It is nice to be able to spread out in a suite with a living room and bedroom that is less costly than many smaller hotel rooms in the area. The B units have limited kitchen amenities (no oven, only a plug-in set of burners; very limited pots and pans). Microwave, toaster and fridge make preparing simple meals possible but anything that really requires cooking is a challenge. The B unit has a private bedroom, a large bathroom and a living room with a pull out sofa. It would be crowded for 4 adults but good for 2 adults or 2 adults and a child. The mattress in our room was not comfortable. This was the second time we had an uncomfortable mattress on a stay there. Wi-fi is not included in the price of the room (it costs an extra $10 per day). Pools and workout facilities are nice. Washer and dryers are on each floor which is a nice extra.

Total happy surprise.

Made reservation for an overnight stay to go to a Tanglewood performance expecting to stay at a motel. We arrived to disover that Vacation Village is actually a huge complex. The suite we were given was a large pleasant space with a kitchenette and fireplace. What a happy surprise.

Location: we had friends in the area.
It was a great place to stay. Convenient location close to all we wanted to do.

Room was small but clean. Kitchen was not a full kitchen but just a refrigerator and microwave. Overall a good experience !

It's a timeshare, not a hotel

Terrible experience in the Berkshires. At check-in we we were informed that we had to strip the sheets off of the bed, take out the trash and wash the dishes at check out, or we would be charged a cleaning fee. The bedding and furniture were cheap and uncomfortable, and the paper thin walls made it difficult to rest, hearing all of the other guests until late. Our next door neighbor had prepared some pungent meal that permeated our room, with the smell still lingering in the morning. The amenities that are to be expected at a hotel in this price range were missing, i.e. Shampoo, conditioner, etc.. We couldn't leave soon enough in the morning.

We are sorry if our resort did not meet your expectations and you had a negative experience with us. You are absolutely correct. “Housekeeping services are not included. Before departure we ask that guests place towels and sheets in the bathtub, empty trash, and place dirty dishes in the dishwasher or wash and dry dishes. There will be a charge levied for rooms requiring excessive cleaning. Housekeeping services are available for a fee. Please contact the Front Desk directly if you would like this service.” This is our housekeeping policy and it is visible on our resort’s websites for all guests and owners to be informed of. We wish you better travel for the future.

Late check in early check out

Cons: 3 pm check in, 11 am check out, on time!
Location: 20 minutes from Lenox MA, just a lovely area!
Check in was at 4 pm, later than most hotels, and even at 4:10 pm our room wasn't ready. Had to get manager of place to get us another room. In the room coffee maker leaked all over the kitchen. There is no breakfast. Next mornong was a very early 10:00 am check out. Cleaning staff came at 9:30, disturbing us. What a rip-off. On the positive side you get a spacious condo suite, indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor grills, clean air conditioned rooms, full kitchen, whirlpool tub, so the actual place is great.
