The hotel location is quite close to West Lake (Xihu), near hotel quite a lot of local restaurant, the hotel is quite close to xinhua book store, from Hangzhou East Station quite close with taxi. The hotel staffs are nice but they only speaks mandarin.

The hotel location is walkable distance to the famous West Lake (Xihu), not far from rhe subway station, close to a mall, in neighbour hood quite a lot of local restaurant with friendly price.

The property is close to Xihu lake and many other tour sites. It is also close to shopping areas. Property is clean and bed is comfortable. staff are friendly. The only down side is the room and bathroom are small.

Older fixtures with an excellent bed. Great value for money. Very helpful staff. Located in a older neighborhood, if you want the authentic Chinese neighborhood feel, this is for you. I would definitely book again.

Pleasant boutique hotel
Comfortable hotel at a good price in a lively part of town. They don't do breakfast and the local coffee shops open a bit late. Metro is just around the corner

Hotel was satisfactory, we had a nice time there but it is in a rundown condition. The neighbourhood is fantastic though, lake is close by and right next to the hotel are great local dining options, noodle shops, dinner restaurants serving wok veggies, meats...bakeries...and right in the front of the hotel is a very nice tea/coffea place that serves the best matcha latte! Everything very cheap, no touristy prices. The minus of the hotel is the cigarette smell in the corridors, which inevitably got to our rooms, because some inhabitants of the hotel smoke and leave their rooms open to vent. We didn't smell too much smoke on the other floors, so we might have been just unclucky with the position of our room. Staff was very nice but nobody spoke english so we communicated through google translator. However, if you want a real, local, chinese culture and experience this is a great place to start.

The location is perfect, near the West Lake and the price is affordable. The staff was very friendly, especially Miss Hu helped us solve the problem by long-distance call after we left Hangzhou.

The staffs are friendly. Managed to checked in earlier at 12pm without extra charges. However, the room is dusty including its beds, floor and cabinet. The beds linen are not clean as we felt itchy after waking up from bed. Cleanliness of rooms need to be improved

Great little hotel
This nice little hotel deserves more than its "Good" rating at this time. It's on a cute residential street in the Hubin area which is a premium part of town next to West Lake. The rooms are smaller but very well appointed and maintained. Good wifi. I wish the doors were better sound-proofed. The staff speaks little English but goes out of its way to help, and they always do. I'm very impressed with this place and plan to stay again.

The staff was great to deal with. If I needed something it was done with no questions. Early check in was great as well. The price was fantastic and it is located in close vicinity to West Lake. Room was a bit small but I only used it for sleeping so no big deal. Taxi to airport was there on time at 6 AM

I would not give it a single star.
The hotel is in a relative convenient location, and that's just about the only positive. In general the hotel is poorly maintained. The service is very average at best. The public places are poorly maintained and dirty. The room reeked of smoke, with mouldy stains and marks on the wall paper which is peeling off in places. The room is cramped, the shower does not drain properly, the AC does not work properly.

The staff is rude. They first couldn't locate my reservation and when I try to argue with them and the manager is quite inpatient and almost yelled at me. But in the end he found my reservation. I am not coming to this place again for the bad attitude. btw, the free breakfast is very few options and terrible.

Good things 1) Spacious beds 2) Staff was friendly and helpful 3) Location was close to West lake, shopping places. Things requiring improvement 1) Bathroom having glass, which is simply not acceptable. 2) No fridge 3) Room next to elevator so noise resulted in disturbed sleep 4) Aircon whose temperature could not be controlled 5) Limited breakfast options (nothing vegetarian at all, no fruits, milk etc) 6)

Took one hour to checkin. Could not find my reservation made with hotels.com. talk to 4 different person to get my room. There is no non-smoking Room. Hard bed. No place to sit down for breakfast. The only positive thing is the location.

Old, worn, smells funny but still very livable
Didn’t like the fact that they put us next to guests who puff. But then again, this is China. Who doesn’t smoke here? Room: Just nice for two adult guests and two large size suitcases; anything more would be a bit of a squeeze. Room is very poorly designed. There is a wardrobe, but using it is like trying to open a car door with a car/wall 5 inches away from it. Room and bathroom could do with hooks/hangers to compensate for the previously mentioned unusable wardrobe. I did not managed to get WIFI in the room. Carpets may be clean, but they look stained, out and really worn out, The a/c in my parents’ room (210) needs a smack on the head; doesn’t seem to work. Try to ask for a room that faces the street. Though it can get a wee bit noisy, it is definitely better than looking at someone else’s kitchen and seeing for yourself what the lady opposite is cooking. Bathroom is compact, shampoo, soap and hairdryer are provided. Service: The lady who checked us in (1800-1900hrs) was very friendly and helpful. Tickets to Song City Cultural Park can be purchased from the hotel. Location: Taxi from HangZhou East train station to the hotel costs RMB40-50. We paid no more than RMB60 to get from Song City Cultural Park to the hotel. I did not take the metro, but I reckon it to be quite close by. Plenty of affordable eating places around. Be warned, most of these places close early e.g. before 9.30pm. West Lake a.k.a Xi Hu and the shopping district is within walking
