Overall the services were good and prompt. The entire complex is well maintained, esp the garden.

Out of the way location

Posted May 26, 2015
After hustle and bustle of Shanghai this hotel was a total contrast. Peaceful and quiet location with nice walks around the lake. Not used to western visitors but helpful staff. Hotel could do with a facelift and decoration looks tired but good value for location.

Resort hotel in a park setting

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Cons: The hotel should offer bicycles for hire. The closest bicycles for hire, at a nearby store, are poorly maintained and only Chinese.
Location: This location is perfect for walking and cycling around West Lake. It is a short taxi ride to Linyin Temple, a walk to Jingci temple, etc.
This hotel is in a beautiful green, quiet, relaxing setting. We stayed three nights. From the hotel, it is just a short stroll down to the closest part of West Lake and from their you can take some of the beautiful walks among the famed islands and bridges of West Lake. The rooms are well maintained, well-appointed, and very comfortable, but not super luxurious. The breakfast buffet was quite good. The staff were courteous and helpful. There was always someone on duty who could speak English.

hidden place with marvelous service

Posted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: quietness and nature
Cons: location, it's a bit far away from everything
This Hotel is a little bit far away from the Main Xi Lake as well as city central. However, the hidden place feeling with marvelously maintained nature around the Hotel is what makes it truly unique and exceptional from others. This place is very quiet and highly recommended for couples.

Posted Nov 16, 2016 on Hotels

Posted May 20, 2015 on Hotels

Posted Apr 3, 2015 on Hotels
