Lighthouse dedicated to Mark Twain, perched on a high bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. The trek is quite the workout up a large number of stairs! When I toured this museum in the summer of 2010, there was a slightly more well known tourist in attendance, the crown prince of Monaco. I didn't know who he was, but i'm glad he shared an affinity for Tom, Huck and Mark Twain. Incredible trek through Mark Twain Cave! Entrance originally used in 1890 for cave tours of the infamous cave Mark Twain explored as a child and included at the end of his novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Amazing plays. Don't miss Emily this summer. Famous Steamboats on the mighty Mississippi River near the banks of Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal, Missouri. Law office where Mark Twain's father worked. Mark Twain discovered a dead body in the back room one moonlit night. Vintage looking trolleys that take guests on tours of this famous Mississippi River town and hometown of American author, Mark Twain. Exploring the many winding caverns of Mark Twain cave. This destination is incredible and my favorite attraction in Hannibal. Fun gift shop and great place to grab an ice cream cone when exploring downtown Hannibal. Awesome experience, the museum features interactive walkthrough a of Mark Twain's famous works and highlights artifacts and Norman Rockwell paintings of Tom Sawyer. Excellent coffee shop with wi-fi inside a 19th century building that once was a Mississippi River saloon. If you're interested in literature/famous American authors, this might be the place for you! There are so many white sculptures of Twain it's unreal. Downtown Hannibal outside Bluff theatre is very colourful, especially during market days Mark Twain's childhood home, incredible experience and like walking through the set of his famous novels. Statue of Mark Twain's famous fictional characters Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Home of Mark Twain's childhood sweetheart who inspired him to create the character of Becky Thatcher in his famous novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The famous white fence from the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer outside of Mark Twain's childhood home. This is a remodeled home of a childhood friend of Mark Twain who inspired him to create the character of Huck Finn in his classic American novels. mighty river Best sunsets anywhere A must do in this town Visitor Center in Hannibal, Missouri, the childhood home of Mark Twain that inspired many of his novels including the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Entrance to the Mark Twain Cave attraction and gift shop. New theatre. Amazing plays in summer. Tour the childhood home of American author Mark Twain, and the world that inspired his famous novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.
