“We arrived at the proprty and walked up to the porch to ring the doorbell. The property was overrun with dead plants and was very un kempt. The steps were hard to negotiate for my wife and I. There were pots of dead plants on every step. There was a cat tower next to the front door, and there was feces smeared on it right at eye level. On the one side of the porch was some kind of pet house with heat lamps in front of it, possibly for feral cats? On the other side of the porch were 3 chairs,……

“This motel was rated exceptional. What? Clean but shabby rooms. I asked the desk clerk if there was a restaurant in the area besides Hardee’s. He said that was it. A quick Google search showed he was lying or misinformed. The next morning, at 9:15, he ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign to tell me something incoherent about wanting to shut down the motel by 10, even though checkout was at 11. I was working online at the time. And the maid talked loudly while cleaning the other rooms on the……

“No front desk, all transactions were done remotely! If there was any issue, it would have to be done over the phone! Thankfully everything was fine, but I not a fan of getting instructions on my phone to check in! What if my phone wasn’t working or not charged since I was on the road! It was a wonderful room, but should be informed that there is no one at the hotel!”

“This property appears to be undergoing a renovation. Upon arrival, I was a little suspect of what the rooms would be like. The hallways were OK, not super clean, but not dirty, just worn. The elevator situation is just OK, there are two floors, and the elevator buttons are marked 1 & 3. But floor 3 is actually floor 2; it was odd. The elevator was old and noisy. The first floor is not truly the first floor, you have to climb 9 steps to get to floor one from the ground floor, there didn't……
