Good hotel but payment wrongly taken at booking

The hotel is good. Hotels.com stated that the payment would be taken at the hotel, however, the hotel took the payment as soon as the room was booked 2 months prior to the date of the stay!!! This caused problems with my expenses so I contacted Hotels.com which contacted the hotel. The hotel gave a refund but the refund was $67.20 less than my card was originally charged due to the currency fluctuation. The hotel should abide by the payment terms they have arranged with Hotels.com!!!

The fitness room was in need of upgrades. They provided no water or towels. The beds were not very comfortable. The pillows were hard. The saving grace of this hotel was the location which is close to the train station and restaurants. Breakfast was good and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful.
