Caroline Mathilde has truly evolved over the past few years. The location is quiet and very close to the town centre. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, well presented and delicious. The pool is pure bliss. Pillow gummy bears are a nice touch :-) Thanks to all the staff and special shoutout to Wiebke who made our stay enjoyable.

Nice hotel in Celle
We had a 3 days stay in Celle, and we where very pleased with the comfort of this hotel. We used the swimming pool, which is a very nice extra. Breakfast is excellent, the only thing that could be better is the restaurant. We only used in one time, and it does not live up to the same high standard as the rest of the hotel. It can not be recommended, You get a much better meal in Celle town.

The hotel was close to the town centre. The hotel is okay but there seemed to be no restaurant on some nights of the week and the quilts in the room were quite small. They could do with investing in better bed linen.

The hotel is well situated across the river and near to the old town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The in-room air conditioner worked well and was not too noisy. For those who need an elevator, it worked well. The breakfast was hearty and tasty and the service was very good. The grounds are landscaped and quite pleasant. I think I will stay here again, but there are some drawbacks. • The walls are thick, so you do not hear anything the adjacent room, but I was on the 3rd floor, and whoever had the room above me did a lot of walking around. I heard every footstep. • The door lock was fine, but the deadbolt lock did not. I left the bathroom door open in case any of the staff were to enter unexpectedly, but this was never a problem. • The door to the cabinet that houses the in-room coffee maker came off its hinges and was on the floor leaning on the cabinet. I stayed 4 nights, and it was never repaired. I did not report it, as I thought housekeeping would be on top of this. Apparently not. • There are several power outlets around the room, but there is only one plug per outlet. If you want to work at the desk, you must choose between the lamp and power for your laptop. (at checkout, I was told there are business rooms available with better access) • The Wi-Fi worked fine, but you can only connect one device at a time. (I did not think to ask for a separate pass code.)

Nice hotel, pleasant surroundings, comfortable room but bathroom was small, shower very tight and difficult to access by climbing over the fairly high tub wall, a difficult task for elderly persons (Fotos picturing the room showed a walk-in shower, not a tub/shower combo). Also, bathroom suffered from an unpleasant sewage-like odor coming from either the sink or the bathtub drain which - despite spraying perfume- could not be eliminated.

Basic and small room, very clean and friendly.
Lovely setting in Celle. Useful to have parking behind the hotel although at busy times may be a squeeze. Booked a triple room with a double and a baby cot which was a very tight squeeze with suitcases as well. Room facilities were very basic, old fashioned, although very clean. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful. Ideal for a one night stop over.

A terrific hotel
What a great hotel - excellent value for the price. Amenities exceed its rating. Highly recommended! Within walking distance of town but not in town. Parking convenient if you are driving.

Decent hotel well located to the city center. Room layout was a bit confusing - multiple rooms on the top floor. Service at breakfast was great one morning and less than standard the next. Reception staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was easy. Decor was a bit dated and elevator was a bit unsetteling. Parking was easy and without additional charge.

Excellent staff - internet connection pretty flake
The hotel is very comfortable and quiet with sound reducing doors in each of the short corridors. Its spread over two buildings with most of the rooms in the building next to the one with reception. Food menu in the dining room is limited to say the least; what they have is good but a very small menu. Only downside was the inconsistent wireless internet which would fail completely for a few days. I think they reset the router or something and after that it got better. Don't have more than on device on the wireless at the same time or they will lock each other out. But you can ask for multiple device access at the front desk Pool is lovely.

Excellent Hotel close to the center of town
Very polite and professional staff and all multi-lingual. The rooms are small but well adorned and comfortable. The attached restaurant is warm and welcoming, the food is great. Hot water is affected by neighboring rooms so watch it. The Wi-Fi connection is single device only, if you log in with a second device it will log you out on the first so bring a Wi-Fi bridge with you if you need multiple usage.

Das Hotel (zwei Häuser, durch einen außen gelegenen überdachten Gang verbunden, geht aus der Beschreibung im Internet nicht hervor) liegt nahe der Fußgängerzone in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel. Um beide Häuser herum gibt es genügend Parkplätze. Der Empfang durch die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption war nüchtern mäßig freundlich. Um zu den Zimmern zu gelangen, muss man sein Gepäck entweder einige Stufen hinauf, mit dem Aufzug eine Etage hoch und dann einige Stufen hinunter oder außen um das Haus herumlaufen. Auf den ersten Blick ist das Zimmer bei Betreten nicht schlecht. Es hat die versprochene Einrichtung und ist sauber. Das Mobiliar im 70er-Jahre-schellackweiß ist jedoch eher kühl als ansprechend. Auf den zweiten Blick wird es allerdings unangenehm. Das Bad ist sehr klein. Die Dusche ist ein Witz. Wenn man die Duschtüre schließt kann man sich nicht mehr umdrehen, ohne irgendwo anzustoßen, auch wenn man nicht stark übergewichtig ist. Die Stoßkantenfliese hängt am Eingang der Dusche so über, dass man sich durchaus beim Betreten/Verlassen der Dusche daran den Fuß verletzen kann. Die Türrahmen der Verbindungstür zwischen Bad und Zimmer sind ausgefranst. Das Zimmerfenster ist so geschickt angebracht, dass man es nur zur Hälfte öffnen kann, weil das Fenster dann an die Gardinenleiste stößt. In der Kaffeemaschine war abgestandenes Wasser und am inneren Boden des Wasserbehälters befanden sich braune Schmierflecken. Das Frühstück war gut, die Mitarbeiterin freundlich aufmerksam.

Für eine Nacht, Buisiness, optimal und top. Sehr gut auch vom Bahnhof zu erreichen. Sehr ruhiges Hotel, fussläufig von der historischen Innenstadt entfernt.
