Booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend, completely surprised at what we found. Felt to be the centre of the Old Quarter, good eating, great sightseeing, awesome atmosphere

Fantastic hotel. Excellent value for money. Located in a great area. Staff were amazing -couldn't be more helpful. Good breakfast. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

Posted Jan 4, 2015 on Hotels

Great little hotel in a good location.Posted Dec 21, 2014
I cannot say enough about the hospitality at Aquarius Legend, the owner and her son could not do enough for us. One afternoon having asked where I could buy some green tea we found ourselves sitting down with the owners and having a lesson on how to make green tea Vietnamese style. The hotel is great value for money, perfect location near the lake, the hotel was very clean with everything in good working order. Our family of 4 were in a larger room noting that my 13 year old son slept on the sofa (still good) Will definitely stay here again when next in Hanoi.

Value for MoneyPosted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels
I've chosen this hotel based on the high rating given by the on-line review besides reasonable price tag. I've stayed here for 2 nights in deluxe room at the hot spot of Hanoi, The Old Quarter. Hospitality was below par to me. Room was small but comfortable and clean with neat layout. There were few issues about the room though, in-room WiFi was not stable, the interior was aging and poor sound proofing. Halal food is just a few minutes walk and for coffee lovers, coffee shops are everywhere along the street. Shopping would not be a problem as long as you have the cash. For the price, it was value money. However, I could not find a good reason to come back.

Resonable for PricePosted Oct 22, 2014 on Hotels
Hotel was very plain, but considering price, it was reasonable. If you are not a sensitive person, and want to save cost, I will recommend this hotel. Location is just next Hoan Kiem. Breakfast was normal, which cost 4 dollars. Overall, it's recommended for those who want stay with low cost.

Bait & SwitchPosted Aug 11, 2014
We had booked this hotel on short notice. Two rooms with Expedia and one with another agent. When we arrived we were simply told they were overbooked and we would be staying at a partner hotel. Questions surrounding the similar quality of rooms were simply dismissed. The partner hotel was listed on expedia for half the price we had paid for at this hotel. They promised an upgrade to deluxe room however when we arrived at the new hotel (Parkson) and were shown our room it was clearly a standard room. Questions at the front desk were also dismissed. Also be cautious booking travel arrangements with these hotels as we were lied to regarding he timing details of transport to Cat Ba. The hotel booked us a tourist cruise instead of just direct transport.

We had contacted the hotel beforehand in order to arrange an early check-in (our flight would arrive at 6.15am) and traintickets to Danang. That was - at least by mail- not a problem. Once we arrived at the hotel, our room was not available. Our train tickets were not booked, Once we finally got to our room, it looked different than the room in the website (there was no outside window) and basic. Cleanliness of the room was ok though. Breakfast was ok for Asian guests - lots of noodles, dumplings etc...), but for Westeners rather basic. Staff was friendly and ready to help, but the travel responsible was too pushy to our feeling. Overall ok value for money.
