Cons: Access to the wi-fi is confusing, especially on a phone! The hotel breakfast room is a mess. Too many tables with 4+ chairs which do not attract
Well situated hotel close to business and government offices.

Pros: Decent,you feel safe
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very central actually in CBD
Had a pleasant stay, no complants at all. Very quiet, decent size rooms and dark enough for a good sleep. Rooms have intenational power outlets too.

Ultimate luxury

Posted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: The Hotel is in the heart of Harare and very close to the shops and many business deals are made in this hotel
Cons: The Hotel should just offer a free Shuttle to the Airport
Location: Great location
I have travelled all over Zimbabwe on business and pleasure but the Meikles Hotel is the best hotel in Zimbabwe by far!. The attention to detail by the staff was amazing as the Manager Mr Gwaze still remembered my family from our last stay at the hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is super comfortable fully automated, with a fantastic shower and bathtub. There are a number of areas around the hotel to relax. The hotel is decorated very tastefully. The breakfast buffet and hot selection was very good. You haven't stayed in Harare until you have stayed at The Meikles Hotel. The hotel is Undoubtedly one of the most impressive and elegant hotels in the country. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The dining area is so beautiful with such a great view of the Harare. They have an elegant restaurant that served a great tasting menu which was excellent. It’s a VIP treatment hotel 100% I have been here so many times and it is now a home away from home for me. It is definitely worth staying here.

Africa was my 6th Continent and so far Meikles was the best stay I have had anywhere .From the guest service to All the food.....the .spa service .to the nice bed linens and comfortable bed ..to room service at 2:30 am ...it was altogether a great expierence . I stayed in both a regular room and a delux ...both were great . Only thing in July they were doing their annual upgrading the pool ....was sad about that but this was their winter work ...would love to come back

A gorgeous hotel, glad we splashed out a bit on it

Posted Jul 19, 2017 on Ebookers
Cons: The baby cot was a little old and rickety but did the job, give the spa a miss - my pedicure lasted just two days before the varnish started chipping
We booked an executive suite overlooking the park, and had a great room up on the 8th floor. The service was fantastic, room facilities were excellent, and the breakfast buffet and room service food really tasty, quick to arrive and very reasonably priced - far more so than some other places we ate. The only negative we found was that the windows opened very wide, which when you're on the 8th floor with a two year old running around, made our hearts skip a beat just looking down - child locks were needed. Also, request a room in the north wing, which has been recently renovated to a high standard, while the south wing seems a little dated. Overall, the quality of the hotel is reflected in the price, which wasn't cheap, but we're so glad we splashed out a bit on this place - it was worth it.

Amazing staff, beautiful hotel

Posted Jun 20, 2017
Pros: The staff.
Location: Not really sure. I came to speak at a church conference and spent most of my time there.
The staff went above and beyond to make my staff wonderful. A very special comment for Eunice in the Pavilion Restaurant. She works the grill each morning and made a very special attempt to make us feel welcome and cared for. She is quite an addition to your staff. Also the ladies in the Spa were amazing. Overall the entire staff from the front to those cleaning were very professional and friendly. Great people skills!
