Very well kept hotel in excellent location. Room was very small and tight. You could not walk around the bed without turning sideways. If driving there, navigate to the Hotel Palatonus Parking, you cannot drive to the hotel address, it is on a footpath.

Great place to stay
Beautiful building, great location. Room was tiny but since I was with my mom we were good. Cute balcony to sit and drink morning coffee or evening wine. Awesome breakfast - so many choices and wonderful service!

Very Pleasant Stay by the Christmas Market
Lovely building with lots of charm, very nice staff, small but adequate room with uncomfortable pillows. Room was clean and stocked with a kettle, tea and instant coffee. Delicious breakfast with nice options.

Central Location and Good Breakfast
Located in the city center. Grand entrance. Friendly Staff. Decent value. Good breakfast buffet. Good Gulyas Soup with lots of bread. Rooms were old and had no AC. Shower had low water pressure. The smell of fried foods from the kitchen permeated throughout the halls and rooms. The carpet was old and stained. But it will cost money to replace.

There was construction going on that was noisy all day. I asked for a iron and iron board and I was told there was none available till the next day, that’s no good if you are going out that night and your clothing is all creased up from your suitcase.

Best place to see Old City Pecs
We have stayed here several times over the years and keep coming back. The rooms are small and beds hard but the history and setting are great. The 2 things that bring us back are the breakfast/dining room and location. If you want to experience the Pecs old city, this is the place to stay. I am excited to see what they are doing next door. They are redoing a building to create a boutique hotel with more modern rooms. Maybe for our next stay.

It was very nice hotel. I stayed there two nights. However, the front staff at the check in process, didn’t inform me that one of the night didnt include the breakfast, so they charged extra fee. Disappointed.

Beautiful hotel in central Pecs, old world charm
This was a beautiful hotel in Pecs city center. If you like old world amenities and gracious service this is for you! Breakfast was incredible. However, with old world amenities - rooms were very small, and tight (hard to negotiate around the beds, little room for suitcases).

Good hotel to explore the city of Pécs.
A great hotel in an excellent location, although the parking was a little difficult to get to. The room was a little dated and worn but was clean and comfortable. Great choice of breakfast. The main square was literally a minute walk away. The parking is extra but worth it for location and peace of mind

It is in the best location. Right next to the main locations in Pecs. It is just older with old style beds but that's why it is such a great price.

We like the location of hotel. Easy walk from train station. Great location in center of town. Staff was friendly, helpful and remembered our room number when picking up room key. Only complaints are lack of toiletries in bathroom and mattress needs replacing. We will stay there again when in Pecs

Good location
The room exceptionally small. It has an excellent breakfast. The tv had 3 English news stations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is really good, walking distance from historic sites. The tourist information office is very close by and the staff speak English and were very helpful.

Staff was friendly, how ever a light was installed to the frame of the bad on which i hit my had in several times, i told that to the clerk after check out but he just laught didn't seem to care, also the room needs refurbishing the bed was almost falling apart, breakfast was great and the sorounding are is great

Ideal location for sightseeing, steps from main square. Small room with good air-con and wifi. Old and worn out hotel with some worn/dirty carpets and furniture that needs replacement. Stern reception soon enough became friendly and helpful by finally facilitating a slightly early check in (215pm) ahead of official 3pm time, which was helpful and nice. 1 small lift. Quiet. Expensive parking but conveniently below the hotel, however it is a 10-minute drive all the way around the old town from the closest street near hotel entrance to the parking entrance behind the hotel. GPS required or you will never find it. Plan to go to parking first if you have a car!

Great hotel
Good helpful staff particularly the reception staff. We were able to choose where our room was situated. The room was spacious, clean and inviting. The air conditioner worked well. The shower worked well but the shower screen did make access somewhat difficult. The hotel was centrally situated with access to a small balcony.

Out of date television (30 years old)
Hotel staff will do anything for you ,rooms are comfortable,simple and very clean But there is no English Channel on the old CRT television,Bloomberg only This is unacceptable in a town like Pècs where there is lot of international travelers I was told the owner doesn’t care,others complained before The breakfast was beautifully laid out with everything you would want, excellent courteous service So if the tv is not important to you ,this is a very nice place to stay in the middle of this historic town

Lovely historical hotel that seemingly retains a lot of the original features. Quite grand and located in the town centre with many other buildings from a similar era. Room was OK and quite spacious. Being a solo traveller it would have been nice to have the choice of a double bed not have it assumed that a single is acceptable. Absolutely great location but a bit convoluted to get to if driving. Small street signs are a bit difficult to see and drive at the same time. Worth the driving angst.

Beautiful historic hotel in pedestrian center
Hotel Palatinus is a beautiful architectural landmark. Rooms are comfortable, clean and attractive, and the restaurant is very good, serving Hungarian specialties like goulash soup, veal stew with dumplings, cucumber salad and cherry strudel. The location of the hotel is perfect with pedestrian access to the historic city and museums. We would return!
