Nice hotel close to Charles Town Races.

Pros: The Breakfast area. Coffee served around the clock.
Cons: Bed could be softer.
Location: Bloomery Plantation Distillery was fun. It is like a wine tasting but with liqueor moonshine. Charles Town Races. Enjoyed the trip.
Staff is nice. Check-in and Check-out was very easy. Breakfast area is nice and clean. Good variety of food.

Pros: Location & amenities.
Cons: 2 spiders in bathroom so could not give higher rating.
Location: Conenient location to everything.
Comfortable room. Nice heated pool. Lounge with good food.

Very Nice Stay

Pros: Breakfast was very good and area to eat at was very nice
Cons: Only concern was no safety bars at the tub and shower
Location: Very close to Harpers Ferry, and close to excellent wineries
Staff was great, rooms and beds were very good. location and easy access to main highway.

Putting non-pet guests in pet rooms?

If you are traveling with your pet, you may love this place. If not, or if you simply don't want to enjoy the residue of other people's pets, look elsewhere. The hotel staff seemed disinclined to understand that a pet room was simply not an option for some guests. We, and others in our party, were harangued repeatedly about being moved into pet rooms against our wishes. If the rooms had been amazingly clean and well-appointed, this may have been ok, although it is hard to see how someone with pet allergies should have to assume this risk. But the rooms were smelly, dank, and musty, with enough detritus remaining from prior guests to understand that cleanliness is not this hotel's strong suit.

Close to Harper's Ferry

Pros: Great bed. Close to our travel destination. Close to river rider company.
Cons: Carpet. Shower.
Location: River riders company. Historic Harper's Ferry. Appalachian Trail. Maryland Heights hike.
Hotel was very reasonably priced. We had the king suite room with the pool deck. The pool deck was convenient and kind of cool to have but it removed the ability to get natural light in the room which made it pretty dark. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The carpet was a little dated throughout the hotel and the bottom floor had a very noticeable laundry smell but it wasn't displeasing.
