A Dozen Old Retired Guys In Our Club Stayed Here

Posted Mar 23, 2017
Pros: This AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN is very close to I-81 and old highway 11 and I-76 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It is close to our destination.
Cons: This is a basic truck stop type of motel. We received exactly what we expected at this AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN in the way of service and accommodation
Location: This AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN is located in the North end of Carlisle, Penn.
A dozen of our club members stayed overnight at this AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN of Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Sunday night, March 19th of 2017. All of us were happy and satisfied with the accommodations. This is not the TAJ MAHAL but it is just fine for getting a good night of sleep. The lady at the front desk, LOUIS and the gentleman, JENISH were both very helpful and friendly. This motel is very close to Interstate 81 and old highway 11 and Interstate 76 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. There are several good restaurants close by to this ABV Inn. There is a Waffle House just West of the ABV Inn and The Middlesex Dinner at 1803 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA zip code 17013 is just East of the ABV Inn. The Middlesex Dinner is a good place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our club members eat at The Middlesex Dinner frequently. This ABV Inn has some SMOKING ALLOWED rooms and has some DOG FRIENDLY rooms which were used by some of our club members on Sunday, March 19th. This ABV Inn of Carlisle met the needs of our club members and the cost of the rooms was reasonable and fair. I used paypal to reserve my room and pay for my room. The PET FEE or DOG FEE was an extra $15.00.

An exercise in minimalism

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Staff was minimally courteous; no coffee pot in all rooms -- request it before you sign in to hotel; do not expect more than a minimal breakfast, and do not expect more than reheated coffee.

I received excellent customer service. the woman working the desk knew I was a tired mother traveling and made sure I had a room that I could park right in front of. I would stay again.

No Pool

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Cons: pool
It says there's a pool on your website. But there's no pool. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. WE WOULD HAVE STAYED SOME WHERE ELSE. IF WE HAVE KNOW THAT. WE WANT HALF OUR MONEY BACK.

The hotel did not have a pool. The staff went out of their way to correct the situation. Amazing people!

Gross and disappointing

Posted Jun 6, 2016 on Hotels
Hair on towels. Bathroom dirty, not cleaned while we were out for the day, but the bed was made. When you go to check in, the lobby has a very strong odor. The shower head in the bathroom wasn't attached to the wall, you could see through the hole in the wall. The sheets and pillows made me itchy. I would NEVER stay here again!

Good for the money!

The hotel's price was great, but there was some minor miscommunication during the process which resulted in a small refund. Easy to work with which is nice and for the money the room was clean and it was a great location. Will stay there again next time, but may do things a little different regarding booking.
