Needs updated and better cleaning practices for the rooms. The Queen bed was really the only thing that made this room comfortable. Checkin was superb and staff was friendly and courteous. Otherwise, the room was really not worth the rates. I did not go for breakfast, so I can’t review that, but the breakfast area looked nice upon checkin.

We have stayed at this property several times, and it has some nice features, like being right beside the river, with its nice waterfront walk and walking distance to some decent restaurants. It's also reasonable value for its low price. It would be great if the city of Harrisburg could do something to improve the lighting and general security along the river and along Front Street, since the area feels a bit scary at night.

When the front desk walks with you to the room to ensure all things are in working condition, that’s a serious problem. Cheap room and it shows with many repairs showing, tears in the carpet, holes in the walls, outlets over burdened with too many electrical devices plugged in. Mold and soap scum all over the bathroom. The only bright spot with this place, is the extremely friendly nice woman at the front desk who was very apologetic.

The location was good for where we had to go. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The hotel room was not what we expected. Cob webs in the corners of the room, stained bedsheets, our toilet did not flush and it was already rigged to flush so we rigged it again. The office chair was torn everywhere and taped to cover it up. Ripped blinds and the power went out 2 times before we even checked in. Only the hotel was affected.

I lived in south Harrisburg for a number of years and walked by this motel many times with my dog.This past Christmas holiday brought me back and I made reservations for two nights. When I walked into the lobby I could smell the distinct and pungent odour of curry. It was like an Indian restaurant. The new owners need to realize that many US guests do not like this odour. I reluctantly checked in only to find the door lock wouldn’t open for me or the desk clerk. I was given a new room next to a side door exit. The room smelled like stall cigarettes, the linens smelled used, the bathroom appeared clean but had mold in the shower and rusty scratch marks in the tub. There were a lot of sketchy guests going in and out the side door most of the night causing the door to slam as they spoke loudly. I felt totally unsafe all night and did not stay the second night staying with relatives. Breakfast was poorly stocked and presented and was done by 10am. The first night the parking lot was basically empty but by morning it was completely full. I asked how full the motel was as I checked out and told it was at 50%. Clearly the owners are either renting out spaces to downtown workers or residents of Shipoke Village. Way too many tented homeless people near the motel. I had high hopes for this riverside motel but I wouldn’t stay there again until it was either cleaned up or totally renovated. Low rates = undesirable residents. I give this motel only two stars.

The people are very happy to help and the rooms are wonderful the bed is like sleeping on a cloud and you have access to central Harrisburg anywhere in 5 mins would highly recommend

One of the doors leading outside has crime scene tape on it like a crime scene happenee there. Also in the hallway they had a bucket catching the rain dripping from the 2nd floor. The closet door handle in my room was broken and held on by 1 screw. The room was comfortable and semi clean
my first time back in harrisburg in 31 years nice stay the people were very friendly very clean could have a bigger breakfast menu but over all 5 stars
Entered our room and stepped into the bathroom which was covered with about an inch of water due to a toilet leak. Had to pack up and go back out for a new room. Could tell the place is run down and woke up with such a stuffy nose and watery eyes for hours. Assuming probably mold. I will spend more to stay elsewhere next time.

Scams of quality inn
I paid a security deposit of 160, then they tried to scam me an say I smoked weed in the room, when I got a non-smoking room, they made me wait like 30 minutes so they can check the room out. It was all’s scam to take my security deposit
everything was great and the staff was helpful in any way they could! the only issue is the area that it’s in but it’s a great view so that makes up for it.
Unsafe conditions. No mat or floor treads in the shower. Surface was extremely slippery and someone did suffer a fall. Toilet seat was barely attached making it difficult to sit on. Peeling wallpaper and water marks were noted.

I like pictures on line, however not accurate. Rate was good when booked, got to hotel they wanted $150 more, room didn't even cost that. They wanted my cc, I paid on hotel.com. unsafe area,boarded up doors with yellow tape, slashes in window curtains, homeless camp next door, unsavory people in parking lot.

Myself and my wife were staying just one night and guest were fighting and arguing in the hallway by our door and management did nothing about it! Furniture in the room was broken and there were no toiletries like toothpaste thank god we had our own with us! Also when we arrived we had to pay another 150 deposit before we got our room key and i already paid for the room.

Checking in was easy. My room was not properly cleaned. Broken headphones and empty chip bag in nightstand drawer. There were no washcloths in the bathroom. There was no Kleenex tissues anywhere. The toilet ran all night! Arrived late due to traffic. Too tired to switch rooms. Left 1st thing in the morning at 7:30.

The facility is a bit run down, and it's very near to the train tracks. The room was clean enough but dingy, and there were mildew stains in the tub/shower grout. No convenient, walkable food options.
