Stayed for two nights bathroom extremely small

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Cons: Information and update bathrooms
Location: Don't know requested information did not get it.....
Bathroom for the price not fair, parking fee on top of cost not fair, no information about hotel available when call desk they said they would send information never happened. Buffet was over priced also. The location for parking and registration although valet seemed rushed with no help we traveled from Long Island over four hours then to be rushed out to get suit cases with little or no help seemed extremely unprofessional and not planned out very well. Agent to valet car seem unclear on instruction.....felt pressured to tip.... This is not a three star or $175.00 night hotel! Need to raise its expectations. They did wave my 36.oo additional parking fee which I did not know I had to pay!

Old out dated rooms

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Location and staff were friendlybut the room was old and dark. Mattress was horrible and linens weren't the cleanest. Parking was quite expensive as well. Not what I expected for a crown plaza in a city!

Convenient location.

The reason for the 4 overall rating is the breakfast buffet was expensive for the almost inedible eggs and quality. Wait staff was ok with regards their friendliness. I come.approximately every 6 weeks and will choose to eat elsewhere.

Quick overnighter on our way to DC

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Valet parking, a bit pricy but so much easier than trying to find parking in the area (city roads). Free wifi and location is great!
Cons: Just minor fixes in the walls/floors of bathrooms and update the elevators.
Location: City events, only 15 minutes from Hershey, walk by the water
Beautiful lobby, valet parking ($18/day) + tip, comfortable room, free wifi and a quiet stay. The bathroom is shaped a bit odd since the spacing is not that large. Small counter space in the bathroom and some TLC is needed (peeling paint and grouting were showing). No free breakfast buffet ($14.95 per adult or $8.95/child), made to order omelette table and usual breakfast fare. REAL plates and utensils. You can also order from menu as well. Only 2 elevators which can slow down traffic, and they need to be updated. Location is great - near the water and walking distance to the center of the city. We wished we stayed another day so we had time to do that. Next time we will. There is a hotel store and fitness room that looked nice. Only 5 minutes from I83 (with no traffic).

Not bad but not what I expect from a Crowne Plaza

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Personnel, location
Cons: Facility upgrades
Location: Very convenient to Harrisburg and surrounding area attractions. Easy to get to. BEWARE 2nd St. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Hotel personnel were outstanding and were really the saving grace of this location. Especially Jackie at the front desk who was phenomenal. Parking was awkward and disjointed. Pool was a bit of a disappointment and no hot-tub. Rooms were on the small side. Hotel overall was definitely dated. Location was very convenient to all Harrisburg attractions.

Dear Boston,MA, Thank you for staying with us and we are especially appreciative of your positive feedback for our staff. They work hard to provide our valuable guests with a superior level of guest service and love to hear when our guests comment on it. Jackie is an asset to our team and we thank you for calling her out. I apologize for your disappointment in our pool. It's a larger pool with access to a 9 1/2 foot end, as well as a shallow end, so that guests of all sizes are able to enjoy it. There is a nice area with lounge chairs for relaxation, so this unfortunately, doesn't leave room for a hot tub. Wishing you a safe and happy summer.
