Pet friendly and convenient

We stayed at this hotel for one night while in town to visit Hershey Park. We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean as was the room, and everything was so convenient. We were traveling with our dog and it couldn't have worked out better. We had a room right on the first floor, and the pet area was just outside. And no charge for pets!! We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the complimentary breakfast was well stocked and plentiful. We will definitely visit again next time in Hershey!

Desk night attendee needs Customer Serv. training!

Pros: Great Price,Ease-major highway access,Free Breakfast(B-fast attendee also lacked the ability to say a simple hello/good morning even with eye contact.
Cons: La Quinta NEEDS TO TRAIN ALL STAFF ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REVIEW HOW TO CLEAN A ROOM WITH HOUSEKEEPING.
Upon checking in, young lady at front desk - -very personable and demonstrated top customer service. Lady who emerged from the back, may have been a supervisor by witnessing her give direction to the young lady. NOT customer friendly at all! Stood there and did not even speak. A simple welcome to ...blah, blah, would have sufficed. Got to room, which was on 2nd floor all the way on other side of building. Let alone, there were only about 15 cars in the parking lot. In the room, we found the sitting chair had an old spill stain on it in plain sight. It appeared it would have taken 15 sec. or so to wipe clean. Cleaning Staff/Shift Manager - Dropped the ball on reviewing their work upon making the room available. Called down to front desk, supervisor who did not speak took the call and we were told that our room would be changed - BUT since the other girl was leaving we would have to come down to the front desk. We hauled all our bags down to the front desk and to our surprise, both ladies were still there. Even after switching our room, which end up being the room next to our original room, the young lady who "was supposedly leaving" was still there. One of the staff should have changed our room and brought the keys to us! In our new room, we started our process of checking for cleanliness. Let and behold, a pair of underwear left in between the mattress and box spring of a made bed! La Quinta NEEDS TO TRAIN ALL STAFF ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW TO CLEAN A ROOM.

Location: Nice comfort food restaurant next door that offers a discount
Everything looks new. The lobby is very nice. I've paid a lot more for much less, in other cities.

New construction but...

Night duty staff rude, breakfast ok, good hot tub, pool basic, low on support staff, haven't seen such a low grade elevator even in poor countries. Overall a very basic stay where many things could go wrong.

smoking

Pros: nothing after the bad experiance
Cons: everything especially the front desk worker
Location: was there for a conferance
Everythig was going good until we were gone all day friday we got back to our room very late and the room smelled like cigrette smoke, went down to complain and they said it is the cleaners they were using, the smell was going away and then it started to come back went back down to complain again, i told them someone MUST be smoking at this time i was coughing and the front desk person told me to go to the lobby bc my coughing was getting complaints. The did find out that the upstairs room was smoking. they said they have no other rooms to put us in, so at 12am in our pjs we left and found abother hotel. I AM ABSOLUTELY DISSATIFIED and the front desk person was very rude. NEVER staying there EVER again or even with another la quinta at this point!

The décor from the lobby thru to and including the room was bright and trendy. The room was spacious and comfortable. Super friendly receptionist as well.

I love the design, clean, friendly, beds were comfortable only thing I disliked my vent in bathroom didn't work.
