One Nite Near Event

Posted Nov 15, 2017
Needed a quick check-in. No one was at desk. Every time we came to the desk, no one was there but the same lady was sitting at a computer in the lobby. She gave us information. Very weird. Rooms were OK for an inexpensive one-nite stay. The breakfast ended so early in the morning that we didn’t get any. Disappointing because we had counted on that before traveling.

We are sorry for you having trouble while checking in. Sometimes guest call front desk to request extra towels, blankers, etc.. Front desk usually tries to be fast with the request but sometimes it takes longer than expected. Our breakfast is from 6am-9am daily.

Not a safe place!

Posted Oct 17, 2017
My father, brother, and I stayed at this hotel at the last minute to attend my uncle's funeral. The cleaning staff look scary, and the older man at check-in was disheveled and less than helpful. While checking us in, I asked him if both of our rooms had a refrigerator. He then replied, "That is what you booked." Upon getting to the room, no refrigerator. I called back to the front desk to ask about it, he said he will call maintenance and then call me back. He never did. The sheets on one of the beds were dirty and had hair on them. There were a lot of shady people hanging outside of the hotel at all times of the day, and there was even one girl was sleeping in her car. At 4am, the fire alarm began to ring for 15 minutes until the fire department came to shut it off. When I called the front desk to see what was happening, the girl told me she thinks someone was playing around and pulled it. I could not sleep for the rest of the morning. Breakfast is not worth waking up for. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience and I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I'm sorry for issues you had during your stay with us. We have since hired new house keeping staff to make sure this doesn't happen again. Past owner had rooms without microwave and refrigerators and charging less money for it. We are in process of putting in microwave and refrigerators in all the rooms, but have not updated in our system until all the room have them. I'm truly sorry for inconvenience you had during your stay with us.

Weekday Stay

Posted Oct 9, 2017
The price was good. However, the negatives include: Bugs were able to get in the room because the door had a gap My daughter wanted cereal for breakfast but there were no bowls and the area was not very clean There was garbage piled up by the stairs on the second floor so as my daughter said, “it smells like a dumpster” It took around 20 minutes to check in because the only worker had to go check to see if each room was ready by actually looking at the room.

Thank you for taking your time to give us a feedback. We were towards end of our renovation during the time you were staying with us. We had few issues with rooms and staffing. We are better staffed and rooms are much better now that the renovation is done. I'm sorry that you were staying with us when we were not at 100%.

Disappointed

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Convenient location.
Cons: See above.
The breakfast was not as depicted on the website, the orange juice was colored water, the toasters malfunctioned, the refrigerator was empty, the tables were dirty and unstable. There was paint pealing off the ceiling in the room. Someone had painted and not removed all of the masking tape.

The hotel is in the middle of a total remodel and we stayed in one of the rooms that was newly done. Everything was clean and looking new, only negative was there were some parking issues due to the renovation.

Not that great experience

Posted Sep 13, 2017
They should not take customers when they renovate rooms. Hallway is wet still spraying water to clean construction dirt, room is clean right after renovate but very strong paint smell bothered, can be harmful to health. They should separate renovation zone and work area by area so they can serve customers after fully work safely. Lobby area looks not impressive at all. Understanding planning to renovate in the near future.

TV on lockdown

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Had to call front desk every time We wanted to watch TV to unlock it. Couldn't get in the room or out the room. Locks sucked. Staff was very responsive and accommodating. Water pressure in shower was a trickle but the toilet water pressure was so strong could have sucked you in the toilet.

Thank You for your feedback. Sorry about the situation with the tv. We had all of our rooms renovated, everything had to be put in storage and while putting everything back some of equipment got lost. In your case the tv would go back to channel 2. We were more than happy to come and set the channel to 4 for cable to work. By your next visit we should have new tv and this would not be in issue anymore.

Conveniently close to Interstate 81

Posted Sep 11, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: We liked the renovations that were recently made to rooms and were impressed with the qualtiy of the kitchenette in the room and the comfortable bed.
Cons: Clarity on reservations, especially if rooms are not available due to renovations. Review of water pressure and choice of bathroom fixtures (toilet).
Location: Conveniently located to the city of Harrisburg and to Hershey. Helpful brochures in the lobby also highlight many attractions within the area.
Was a bit disappoint the hotel for a few reasons: 1) we had booked a King Size bed but upon check-in was told that none were available and that they should not have been posted on Orbitz due to renovations. We were, however, offered a Queen Size bed with a kitchenette as an upgrade. That change was acceptable; 2) our room was never cleaned the morning after our check-in. We notified the front desk attendant about that fact when we checked out. We left our room at around 11:30am for daily activities which still would not have been late for housekeeping. The room was one of the renovated rooms and it was a very nice space. The kitchenette is very nice as are all the newer appliances within the kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The only criticism with the room is the flushing of the toilet. Though a new toilet, due to low water pressure and the amount of water needed to flush /. refill, it took multiple flushes after each use to completely clear out the contents of the bowl. Again, due to low water pressure, the shower proved to be a bit of a challenge. Despite these difficulties, we would recommend the hotel to others and we hope that any issues with be reviewed and resolved. The hotel is reasonable priced and is conveniently located to the Interstate and to attractions in the greater Hershey and Harris area.

Thank you for taking your time to review. We are very for not having the room you requested. The last rooms that are getting renovated are mostly Kingbeds. Since you have stayed with us we have upgraded our bathrooms also. I'm sure your next stay with us will not have any cons and only pros.
