You get what you pay for

Cons: A lot
Location: Good location
Very dated. Non-smoking room that smelled of stale smoke. Stains on the ceiling. Very dirty furniture. Used our own clorex wipes to wipe down the bathroom counter. Grey towels. Air conditioning unit was VERY loud. Outside noise easily heard. Pleasant staff. Checking area smelled of smoke.

The place is a dump

We were in town for college Admit day and all area hotels of good quality overbooked so we got a room here with little options. The workers were outside reception chain smoking when we pulled up The exterior and parking areas were in poor shape. The rooms were painted poorly and a bad rebath job was done in bathroom. The heater/ac was in poor shape. Bedding looked clean but beds weren't comfortable. didn't feel safe for ourselves or car. Got out of there as soon as possible in am. For $80 w taxes, it's a bad deal wifi also was bad coverage

I stayed at this EconoLodge in January for 3 nights. I was concerned since I had read a majority of the comments left by previous guests about the cleanliness of the rooms. I am an RN so cleanliness is of upmost importance to me. My stay in January was far better than I had anticipated so I chose this hotel again for a shorter stay. I am on call at the local hospital on occasion and since I live outside of the 30 minute requirement I need to stay close. Overall my stay was good this time. However, housekeeping needs to pay better attention when cleaning the bathrooms, especially the toilet seats. There was dried urine spots on the seat. Since i am a nurse and have OCD when it comes to clean toilets I had Lysol wipes with me and cleaned the toilet seat myself.Otherwise it was another good stay.

Disappointed

Heating/ac did not work properly. When you select the temperature it was very hot no matter the temperature selected. I had to get out of bed to turn on the ac. Then it was cold. Mouse dropping on the top of the tv stand. Black moldy hole in the bathroom ceiling. I won't be staying here again

So so stay

Roger at the front desk was very nice!! The room had a very funny smell coming from the air conditioner. I had planned to stay another night but decided to go to another hotel.

would stay there again, only non smoking

nice place, close to all amenities. but no non smoking rooms, really bad cigarette fumes.manager did say a lot of rooms were being cleaned out to become non smoking,

Pleasantly surprised!

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I am an RN at the hospital located in this city and needed to be close during my weekend on call (I live outside of the required 30 minute response time). I had read a majority of the reviews on this hotel but decided to give it a try since it was the most cost effective. The room was very clean and the carpeting appeared to be fairly new. The mattress wasn't as firm as I would like but I also have a bad back from the many years of being a nurse but I definitely slept well. The bath towels could use some upgrading (I had one towel that was very thin and frayed on the edges) but I also understand that the hotel just went through some remodeling which is very expensive. I didn't need housekeeping services until I checked out but the housekeeper was kind enough to change out my towels during my stay. It is helpful if you speak Spanish or use Google Translate to communicate with some of the housekeepers. I left a note in Spanish stating I only needed clean towels. I stayed a total of 3 nights and I will definitely stay again (I hope I am just as pleased with my stay) during my "on call" days.
