The room was clean and well lit. It was a tough week and weekend, however, for Hampton Inn. A busy week they didn't seem to be prepared for. Internet service was down which meant delays in checking in and guests had to be walked to their room and let in.
The room was supposed to have a microwave but didn't and I was told there were none available. My only option was to buy one to use in the room.
The refrigerator didn't work correctly, maintaining a tepid temperature in lieu of cold.
The batteries in the tv remote were dead. I went to the front desk to get replacement batteries. The replacement batteries were dead. The next day, I asked for and received two more batteries from the front desk. Those batteries were dead as well. The next day, I finally specifically asked for **new** batteries.
The ice machine wasn't working but there was no sign indicating that.
