Hawksbill House is located at the base of the beautiful Massanutten Mountain and is the perfect home away from home for families or small groups. This property offers an open floor plan featuring a large living room with a comfy sectional and a large screen TV, a spacious dining room with seating for 10, and an efficient, well-stocked kitchen. The large recreation room with another flat screen TV, game table, full size futon sofas, and reclining sofa gives plenty of space for your group to spread out . The expansive backyard offers lots of space to play yard games (corn hole game provided), lounge beside a crackling fire in the firepit, and enjoy a relaxing cookout. Located just minutes away from restaurants, shops, skiing, mountain biking and more.

All linens for bedding, towels and washcloths are provided. Paper goods such as toilet paper and paper towels are provided. The kitchen has dishes, cups, utensils, cookware, microwave, and coffee maker. Simply bring your clothes, toiletries and food. Washer and dryer are available.

The driveway is level and can fit up to 4 cars.

SURROUNDING AREA Downtown Harrisonburg and James Madison University are 15 miles from our home. Explore the fantastic restaurants, museums and shops downtown. The Shenandoah Valley offers many attractions including caverns, wineries and breweries. The closest Shenandoah River access is only 10 miles from the house. Enjoy tubing and kayaking during warm weather. The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive and The Appalachian Trail is only 15 miles away and offers excellent hiking opportunities.

This home is not affiliated with Massanutten Resort. However, it is located inside the community of Massanutten and minutes from skiing, snow and grass tubing, ice skating, two golf courses, indoor/outdoor water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-karts, tennis, swimming, fishing, parks and more! You'll also have access to 30 miles of hiking trails. The pool is a community pool for the private homes in Massanutten. It is available for use by our guests from Memorial Day through Labor Day for $6/person/day (subject to change). Pool availability is subject to, and at, the discretion of the Massanutten Property Owner Association. Tennis courts are also located by the pool. Most Resort activities are available to our guests for an additional fee and should be booked online before your arrival, through Massanutten Resort's website. **Please note due to current COVID-19 decreased capacity restrictions, some activities may sell out in advance, especially on holidays and weekends. We cannot guarantee access to the amenities and amenity closure/availability is not a refundable cancellation reason.**

*This home is located in the woods. You will likely see insects (including some that fly) and arachnids. Please be aware they may come inside when doors are opened, especially when lights are on inside.
*We are not able to honor early check in or late check out requests.
*Package delivery is not available at Massanutten homes.

Please don't put food down the garbage disposal
No smoking inside the house. Smoking in the house will incur a $750 fine. Smoking is allowed outside of the house but all butts are to be cleaned up and safely removed.
This home has a gas grill - Charcoal is not allowed. If you use charcoal in the gas grill you will be billed for damages (including but not limited to a new grill)
If any items are unplugged from an outlet or device (like a tv), please be sure to plug it back in before checkout
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am during which time the noise from the house shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors
Turn off all lights when leaving the property
Please read the check out instruction on the refrigerator and in the Welcome Book. Note that check out is at 10 a.m.
Interior locked closets are off limits to guests
Only registered guests are to be in the house
Leave the doors and windows closed if the heat or AC is in use
Trash must be taken to the dumpster near the house at check out. A minimum fee of $75 will be assessed if trash is not removed.

Recreational amenities at the vacation home include a water park.
