Excellent Country Pub/B&B

Posted Feb 18, 2018
Cons: Shower
We were looking for a country pub to stay over & meet friends half way. The Wellington Inn was just the ticket. Great staff great beer & food in front of a roaring open fire. A very comfortable nights sleep in a very clean well proportioned ensuite room. Only one fault.... you had to run around the shower to get wet! A proper Yorkshire full English in the morning, many other breakfast selections are available. We had a lovely overnight stay.

Nice comfy historic pub/inn with gorgeous views.

Pros: Location and the fact that you can open the windows - always a plus in my book since most places seem to run to "overheated" (when not freezing).
Cons: At least one proper chair in a room for two.
Location: Plenty to do in Harrogate - the baths being one of our favorite places to go - and there's always the RHS Garden Harlow Carr not far away.
We booked in for two nights while visiting the baths in Harrogate an seeing different parts of the countryside around there. Pub area is great with a good variety of food choices, and meals in the dining room were enjoyable (big, delicious, proper English breakfast - including blood pudding!) with glorious views. The room would have been served by another chair - there was only a stool - and those of us in the more senior swathes of life occasionally need a sit down - and not on a bed, but we managed.

GOOD LOCATION IN THE DALES. GOOD PUB/ACCOMMODATION

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Atmosphere and location for our planned visits in the locality...
Cons: Slightly bigger TV but not essential...and mobile phone connection but talking to locals this is easier said than done...
Location: Fewstone walking areas...Towns of Otley, Skipton and Harrogate not far away...
Welcoming hosts. Good facilities. Pleasant well decorated room with excellent bathroom...TV on small side but adequate for the stay...Tea making facilities in the room replenished daily...Very good choice of breakfast, excellent Full English but other options...Evening meals good choice and good quality...Plenty of car parking...Mobile phone reception not strong from room but better at top end of the car park...But free WIFI was able to access Facebook and Messenger...Landlady offered use of landline if couldn't contact for an essential call Worth a visit...

Fantastic little place. Staff were brilliant. My only gripe was that the kitchen wasn't open early enough for my breakfast but to be fair to them I had said that I'd be leaving later than I did. I'll definitely stay there again

Nice, clean room. King size bed as very comfortable. breakfast is very good. Only minor gripe is that the TV was a bit small, but that really is nitpicking. Otherwise everything was very good.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I must say the gentleman that served us breakfast each morning looked after us very well. It was a short break but we felt very relaxed and looked after. Thank you all we will be back.

Country Hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: A larger kettle which would boil water for two people at the same time.
Location: Great location in the countryside. A lovely museum in Pateley Bridge. Fountains Abbey and Studley Gardens are close by as are Brimham Rocks.
A very enjoyable stay in this country hotel. The room was very clean with all the facilities we required for our stay. Towels and drink making items were replenished daily. Excellent choice of hot options at breakfast. The dining room has wonderful views over the countryside. We ate dinner there one evening and that was of an excellent quality. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and pleasant. Plenty of parking.

Perfect Spot

Posted Jul 21, 2017
Pros: Food was great, being a vegeterian I had exhausted their options on the menu, but the chef was happy to accomodate, and make me something special.
Cons: We didn't drink in the bar, but it seemed a bit empty, not enough tables and chairs or decoration!!
Location: Location was perfect for us, sadly we left visiting Pately Bridge until the day we left, and the shops were mostly closed, we were very disappointed.
We had a fantastic 3 nights stay at the Wellington Inn, it's just far enough out of Harrogate, to be out of the traffic.
