Escaped ny blizzard

Great overall. Only downside was when I found out, when I got my bill morning of check out, that the tv which allowed you to go to all the channels they offer really wasn't free. I wasn't told anything about this and the tv usually has a screen to tell you before you change the channel. Oh well. Also most places these days offer free wifi for guests...not the case here.

Bad bed experience

I went there thinking that I was going to have two double beds and ended up with a king only. I ended up sleeping on a pullout. Not what I paid for.

Great hotel

Check in and check out quick and efficient. Room very quiet, clean and bed very comfortable. Exercise room clean well equipped. Parking lot well maintained. Grounds well kept. Only draw back is the fact that wifi was not free. Rate is between $7-$12/day for wifi. This should be free.

Do not disturb

The hotel was fine overall, although not a good value for what we paid. A serious issue was the housekeeper. We had just arrive from a week in Europe and were tired. We put the "do not disturb" tag out the night before, anticipating housekeeping in the morning. Imagine our surprise when the housekeeper knocked on the door and even tried to enter the next morning, ignoring the privacy request. This reflects poor hospitality on their part. Another issue is the restaurant. We only ate breakfast there; and only at the buffet at that. However, for $15 each it was a pathetic offering. If it'd been a free buffet, I'd have been more accepting; but at that price, it was a joke. Mind you, not unhygienic or dirty; just culinarily lazy and insipid: tasteless eggs, boiled over cooked sausage, grainy mushe French toast. Avoid.

Missed the plane!

I unexpectedly needed a hotel room the week of Christmas when I missed my plane at Bradley Airport. I located and chose this hotel online because of it's rating, pricing and shuttle between the airport and hotel. I was pretty grumpy about having missed the plane and was pleasantly surprised at how the staff at the hotel made that disappear. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the staff was so nice, cheery and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel and thank them for taking such good care of me.

I arrived travel weary and headed for a memorial service and was delighted beyond words at the comfort, cleanliness and helpfulness of the hotel and staff! I would stay here again and again..reasonable rates and beautiful hotel and restaurant!
