Great Service, Poor Everything Else

Will first say that I had great experiences with ALL employees. They were lovely! Literally all of them! Service was great, but the hotel itself left much to be desired.
The was a weird whitish substance caked into the carpet in my room and every time I turned the hot water on in the shower it came out brown at first. See photos. Because the hotel is right on top of an interstate, you can hear cars and sirens at all hours the day and night.
If you don't mind walking up a hill next to the on ramp of an interstate, the hotel is within walking distance of some attractions and restaurants downtown. I took an Uber everywhere.
The free area shuttle has a set route and doesn't go to a lot of attractions. If you want to visit anything not in the designated path, you'll need to find your own transportation.
Had I known all of this, I would have paid a little bit more to stay farther away from the interstate and closer to the restaurants. Though I will say that the food at the hotel restaurant was very good.
