Conveniently located

Posted Oct 15, 2017
I enjoyed my stay. What I most loved about my stay was the hotel staff and their kindness. Short story, It rain all day Sunday and the hotel prepared food in the lobby for their guests to enjoy. Now, that’s great customer service. I want to give a personal thank you to Kim, Cynthia and Serenity for making my stay awesome.

Nice hotel, strange staff. Pay for parking!

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: The clean rooms and hallways
Cons: Customer service between cleaning staff and guests
Location: Varsity is like 30 minutes away and so is Atlanta Station
I booked this hotel for 2 nights and loved the room! Clean with a nice, cold AC. I did have some strange interactions with the staff though in that they would only speak Spanish to me. When I told them I don't speak Spanish they seemed to get very angry. Also, the parking is a separate fee which wasn't communicated to us before we booked. Possibly because we booked through a third party. Might be different if you book directly through their website. Overall, definitely would stay again, but I might have to invest in some Spanish lessons first!

Unpleasantly Surprised

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: free parking, breakfast was great and breakfast staff was very pleasant.
Cons: Clean it up, teach front desk staff that customer service is a top priority. No one was at the desk everytime i went in or out anytime of the day/nigh
Location: Airport hotel so pretty shady neighborhood
I have stayed at many Fairfield Inns and this was by far my worst experience. First can't find my reservation, after that we get a room that does not lock. I ask for another room she says no more rooms sending someone to fix it. After 30 minutes he comes and says yes, broke, you need another room. We get another room clear at the opposite end of the hall (my rewards preference is near an elevator). Ok, get to that room and fridge is broken. It's late and too tired to be bothered.

Room wasn't the one reserved or paid for

Posted Sep 9, 2017
I reserved a room with a King Size bed, paid extra for the King Size compared to a room with a double bed. I received a confirmation number from Expedia for the reservation. We arrived late due as we were part of the traffic that evacuated from Hurricane Irma. After driving 14 hours from Tampa to Atlanta and checking in at 1:30 a.m. we got to the room and it was double beds. I'm 6'5" and double beds don't work for me. I went back downstairs and the desk clerk said they didn't have to honor the King Size bed reservation because it was through a 3rd party (Expedia). I'm sorry, but I paid extra for the King Size reservation. Now I have to figure out how to get a refund on some of what I paid from Expedia. This was my first and last time staying at Fairfield. And I'll have to stop using Expedia as well.

Staff has no idea what they are doing

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: actually provide rooms that have been paid for
Location: best thing to do is go somewhere else
Our 2 rooms were book in advance, and paid for. We came to Atlanta for the Bama-FSU game. We arrived at the hotel at noon to drop off our bags before heading downtown. I asked the clerk 3 times so I could be absolutely sure that our rooms would be ok when we got in. I told her we would be coming back after midnight and didn't want our rooms given out. She said "no worries, you are paid up and the room is your whenever you get in". Well, we came in at 1 am and we were told by the new clerk that all the rooms were full, even ours, which were already paid for. He didnt offer an explanation nor could he explain why they had given out rooms that were already paid for. Spent the night on the hard floor in a meeting room. Now having to fight to get my money back on the room.

The hotel rooms have undergone some renovation and the beds were very comfortable. However, the lifts were old and did not level with the floor of the landing. Breakfast was good with hot food.
