Not because of anything to do with hotels.com, but all because of the Renaissance. It is a beautiful hotel but I was supposed to have a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower and a king bed. My room was not handicapped accessible at all. It was on the 9th floor and one of the farthest rooms from the elevator—Which is a big deal as this is a huge hotel. I was on crutches so even if they couldn’t see my reservation details from hotels.com, you would think it would be fairly obvious that I needed a closer room. The beds (two in my room) were very hard. As exhausted as I was and even though I didn’t go to bed until after midnight, I woke up at 3 am with my back killing me. I had to take a strong pain pill that I had for my knee in order to get back to sleep. It was probably the most expensive hotel I stayed in over the past week of travel and the least comfortable. I didn’t go down to breakfast because I didn’t want to walk/hobble that far and then back to my room to brush my teeth afterward. Crutches are no fun for travel. Please give a person on crutches a room as close to the elevator as possible
If not on the first floor.
