My most disappointing experience everPosted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: The location was located near the place that my 50th birthday party was held and reasonable.
Cons: Customer service, room cleanliness
Upon arrival to check in, I walk into the office and I see a female sitting on the back of the chair with each of her legs straddled on the arms of the chair talking on a cell phone, so obviously she and the clerk were friends. The towel service sign that was posted in the office stated because there is no towel service, you must keep up with the towels that are in the room (which I took to mean that you weren't getting any more during your stay; luckily I travel with towels). There were Dorito chip bags still under the bed, the air conditioner was on 50 and the smell was not pleasing. The refrigerator had no shelving and was not cold. My neighbors television was extremely loud upon check in, later that night when I returned to my room, again the next day and night. hence, I did not even sleep in the room. I have never had a bad hotel stay so this was rather un-nerving. Its a good thing that I had somewhere else that I could stay. but, you NEVER have to worry about me booking with this hotel chain again.

Enjoyed our stayPosted Jul 29, 2015
Jasmine in front office was super friendly. Was very helpful with my problem I had with Expedia not sending info over. Smiled the whole time. She was the most awesome part of this hotel!

Good, affordable long term optionPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Affordable price. Great internet. Clean rooms. Pleasant and friendly staff.
Cons: All the beds should have blankets as well as comforters. Improve the shower water pressure in some of the rooms. Replace the satellite television.
Location: Centrally located on the Westbank. There are a lot of dining and shopping options near by and the freeway entrance is close.
I have stayed at this property a few times and the rooms are basically the same. The single bed rooms I have stayed in have one queen bed, a small table with two chairs and a lounge chair. There was also a kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave, a sink and two stove top burners. The mattresses are basic, but comfortable. A new development I learned of this trip was the hotel is phasing out blankets on the beds. There is just a sheet and comforter now and the comforter is fitted at the foot of the bed so it only comes to mid-chest. I do not like having to use a comforter as a blanket and if you ask at check in, they will try to accommodate you as some of the rooms still have blankets. Other minor problems I have experienced include a leaking kitchen faucet and a microwave with the door handle broken off. The cleanliness of the rooms have all been good, especially the bathrooms. Most of the room's showers had good water pressure. Two of the rooms had newer shower heads that appeared to use a water restrictor as the pressure was not as good and made a loud whistling noise. One thing to mention are the thin walls. If you have a loud neighbor, you will definitely hear them. And if you stay in one of the rooms, near the front of the property, road noise can be noticeable. The satellite television can be spotty due to New Orleans' weather. But the internet is great with a strong signal and fast speeds. Parking is plentiful and there is an elevator for the upper floors.

Everything was OK, other than the fact that the electricity was out when I got there (due to someone's car hitting a power line). Maybe they should look into getting a generator.

Helt greit hotell utenfor New Orleans by!Posted Jun 24, 2015 on Hotels
Helt greit hotell, beliggenheten er nok ikke av det beste. Går buss til New Orleans by rett utenfor døren... 2 dollar per pers. Hotellet ligger i en hovedgate og det er restauranter i gangavstand.

You get what you pay for...Posted May 27, 2015 on Hotels
The first room we checked in to was full of flies, none of the drawers or cabinets were square, 2 large patched holes in the shower and the toilet kept backing up. The second room was cleaner and better kept, however the toilet backed up 3 times before we left in the middle of the night. The only good thing about the hotel was the front desk. The young ladies were very sympathetic and cooperative and wasted no time in trying to make it right.

Not at all like Advertised photos.Posted May 17, 2015 on Hotels
Booked two nights here based on website photos at seemingly a reasonable price. Receptionist area is tiny and check in was quick. No pool or lounging areas. Room appeared clean but it became quickly apparent that is not so. Carpet and box spring was unbelievably dirty. The pillow had a stain and the bed sheets had a hole in it. Drawers and cupboards were falling apart and there were crumbs and dirt inside. The bath and face towels are white wash cloth material, so it was scratchy but it was clean. I noticed that the paneling near the floor in the bathroom was molding and there is old hair or moist dust inside. The towel rack fell off when my friend used a towel and it nearly smashed her foot. There is no hairdryer, just soap and shampoo. I notified the receptionist the next day of the state of the room and she apologized and offered to let us change rooms. In hindsight I would’ve preferred a refund. The new room wasn’t much better, the lighting was white office light and there were bug legs and old crumbs and stains in the carpet, including a plate-sized hole in it (revealing an older carpet underneath). The coffee machine didn’t work in this room and we slept with just a bed sheet and the thin polyester bed covering (they forgot blankets). I have a feeling all the rooms are like this. I recommend paying a little more for an exponentially better experience.
