What to say

Posted Jan 30, 2016
Pros: One or two decent places to eat around the place.
Cons: Train housekeeping and schedule them later or change the check out time. Lower the prices because prisons are probably cleaner.
Location: Easy access to the GNO bridge to NOLA. Nice to be able to take the shuttle.
The place is a mess. If you like a clean room, be prepared to clean it yourself. It's disgusting. I asked housekeeping to clean one time. All they did was remove dirty towels and return with towels covered in black hair. They didn't even so much as spray disinfectant or vacuum, or replace the sheets. I never asked them for anything again and got my own towels for the rest of my stay. I was there for nine days. The breakfast is mediocre. Some bread in the plastic, the cheap stuff. People putting their dirty hands in the plastic bag to get bread out instead of the staff having one person wear gloves and place the bread in the container with the muffins, etc. Housekeeping also likes to get done early which I guess explains why they don't clean properly. There's no pride in the work. Also, if you forget something in the room, which is highly likely because you will be harassed on your last day by everyone who works there so it's easy to leave something unless you leave early, don't plan on seeing it again. Disgusting room. Dirty tables, dirty carpets, dirty outside and inside the rooms. Cigarette butts all over outside. Not worth it. Even the ice bucket was dirty. When I brought it to someone's attention and asked for another, I was given a plastic liner and told that's what that was for and returned to the room with the same dirty ice bucket. In the days I stayed, I never once got ice. If you can avoid it, avoid it.

Barely ok hotel facility

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Pros: Close to highway.
Smoke stains on bed sheet. Loose bath faucet. Old CRT TV. Open corridor full of water pits after rain. Breakfast with limited variety. Asked for an extra blanket at night, didn't get until next morning because front desk didn't have and room service is only from 10am - 3pm.

An Awful Night

Posted Jan 14, 2016
Pros: Nothing. DO NOT STAY HERE
Cons: Everything
Location: New Orleans.
The place was gross. Looked nothing like the internet pix. The first night we came back, only the room I was in was left wide open, there was no electricity, and the battery to unlock the door with a card died. We closed the door on our way out earlier that day. Luckily nothing was taken as our stuff was locked. Only our room on the second floor had this happen.. It was 12 midnight by the time we received help. It was like an Alfred Hitchcock horror film. The place was a mess, deserted, and the office staff was of poor service. We were able to switch rooms closer to the office, and I got my money back for one night. Never in all my travels have I returned late at night to find my room door wide open, and the electricity off. Management was nonchalant. He did not return my urgent note with a call or aide I had left the previous night. The next morning I had to go in person and tell him again what happened. Why he put us in an old room deserted and alone on the second floor beats me. Also, the one lady yelled at us for taking a banana because it was not exactly breakfast yet (after this fiasco happened). It was scary, and the place was horrific.

You Get What You Pay For

No guarantee of an ADA room/bathroom. With one week's notice? The shower fixture wobbled around in its hole in the wall. Not one pull bar for safety-so no shower for me, seat or not. Checked in on Friday to stained sheets. Despite leaving the card for new sheets, they never did anything in our room. Full trash cans stayed that way the entire time. TV kept checking out for "software update" that never happened. In 4 tries, nobody at the desk to help or stop it from interrupting us. You're getting aplace to sleep with firm beds and few blanketsblankets and not one thing more.

This hotel is very basic, probably only worth $50 a night. The blankets had stains, the pillow were super thin, no iron, no blow dryer. It's just a mediocre hotel. I would not recommend, unless it's your absolute last choice.

We stayed here while in town for sugar bowl

Worst experience of my hotel experience. They need to tear it down and rebuild. So old and stinky! Had to buy a can of Lysol spray.

No hot water, dirty room

Posted Jan 2, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Has to be cleaned.
Location: New Orleans
There was no hot water and the room was dirty. We stayed there on the new year eve to visit New Orleans. We were very disappointed by this hotel. I had a previous good experience with Travelodge, I don't understand why this hotel doesn't fit Travelodge quality standard. We pay a lot of money for this room...

close to shopping

Posted Dec 2, 2015
The clean towels had hairs on them, the guest in the other room screamed at each other the whole time they were there and when they smoked our room was full of smoke - the people above us had children run back and forth at 0230 in the morning - the room it self was not bad - the light bulb busted on Thursday - I told the young lady from housekeeping (never got another light bulb) - the walls are so paper thin (the screaming couple next to us really mad this the worst hotel stay ever) the air unit in the room next to us sound like it was on it's last leg. Even though the room wasn't that bad - it had this very bad smell - it smelled like cheap hotel carpet
