Beautiful Rooms, Comfy BedsPosted Feb 11, 2018
Pros: Unique setting, pretty rooms
Cons: Maybe a bigger lounge to hang out in.
Location: Lots of things to do nearby. Pretty rural setting right next to Northhampton with its many shops and restaurants.
This old mill building is unique and fun to be at. The room was beautiful, the bed was very cozy and people were very nice. We had to leave very early in the morning and had food sensitivities as well but the staff was very accommodating. Hearing the waterfall rushing outside was very cool. Wish we had longer to stay.

Five Star B&B!Posted Jan 29, 2018
Pros: Food and atmosphere
Cons: The game room was small.
Location: We went into Northampton in the evening where there is so much to do!
Very simply, the breakfast alone is enough reason stay at The Old Mill. I mean... it was incredible! Beyond that, the friendly staff went above and beyond. When we showed an interest in the history of the place, they gave us a tour and told us about the evolution of the building. It was like visiting museum. Then there was the spectacular waterfall outside! Five Stars!
I highly Reccomend the Old Mill Inn, Hatfield MAPosted Nov 27, 2017 on Hotels
Very nice and romantic setting right off of a mill pond and waterfall, off of the Mill River. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with antique furniture and a very nice shower (we were in the handicap accessible room, others my have baths). The bed was comfortable and in-room amenities were top-notch. Next visit, we would most likely request a room on an upper floor, as the Lily Pad Room opens right into the Café/Breakfast area. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. The included breakfasts were excellent! Crème Brule - Challah French toast one day, and baked apple accompanying poached eggs on amazingly crisp latkes, the next day! Rosemary is a fabulous baker and chef! The inn is a short drive to Smith and other local colleges and towns. All of the guests appeared to be enjoying their stay and were in good spirits. I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone wanting a relaxing get away in central Massachusetts, or while visiting one of the many local area colleges.

Nice Quiet B&BPosted Oct 19, 2017
The overall experience was nice. We checked in and got to our room without assistance from anyone. We never saw the proprietor. The heat in our room did not function at all. The morning breakfast staff was outstanding. The overall stay was ok, just not perfect, no one to add the personal touch that you would normally expect.

Hi, and thanks for your review. We appreciate your kind compliments about our staff - we agree that we have a wonderful crew! We do send them home in the evening, so for our guests who are checking in late we leave a welcome letter out, with self check-in instructions. We give all our guests our direct number to text or call 24/7, and in addition to instructions on the welcome letter about the heating cooling system, we also have a Guest Information booklet in our room that explains everything from how to use the TV remote to what time breakfast is served. We have new mini-splits in each room, which heat and cool wonderfully. Your unit had been switched over to the cooling function on the remote, so I wish you would have called us for a simple fix when you couldn’t get it to work. I’m glad the rest of your stay was to your liking, and if you come back we hope we can make it perfect!

Delicious breakfasts (ever had creme brulee French toast?). White noise from the water flowing over the dam was relaxing. Could hear footstep noise from room above.
Nice Place for a Romantic Getaway.Posted Oct 11, 2017 on Hotels
We went to the Old Mill Inn to celebrate our anniversary. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The location on the river with the waterfall was peaceful and charming. The suite was large and had all the amenities you would want. The only real complaint is that the furniture in the living area was old and not very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, and Rosemary, the chef served a breakfast that was out of this world good!
