Hotel was nice other than they had a party in the ballroom and allowed guest who weren’t staying at the hotel to take up parking spots leaving us (a paying guest) with no where to park. The AC in the room did not work good either.

I have stayed in fancier hotels but never any that were nicer. The room was large, comfortable, quiet, well appointed, and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was cooked and in buffet format. Well done!

Good for access to major highways & downtown

The hotel was extremely clean. Although the lobby is being remodeled, this did not impede our check-in. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Staff were very nice. The only downside is the noise from Hwy 49 and I-59, which goes on all night and is audible. But the location is very convenient to the hospital, the university, and downtown Hattiesburg.

Disappointed With Holiday Inn

Pros: Good location to an event we were attending
Cons: Make sure lobby trash cans are emptied.
We booked a one night stay through Expedia. When we checked into the hotel, the clerk took our credit card for "incidentals." When we went to check out the next morning, we got a receipt for almost all of what we paid through Expedia. The clerk said that our card was not run. When we got home and checked our credit card transactions, we discovered that the hotel had charged our credit card. We called the hotel and was able to talk to someone about the charge. They saw the error and immediately sent us a zero balance receipt. It took over a week for the charge on our credit card t show a credit.

Hattiesburg Holiday Inn

Stayed overnight on way to New Orleans. Very convenient to interstate and room was very clean. Very good breakfast buffet also.

Disappointed hotel stay

Very disappointed. All hotels in area were comparable so I booked this room based on the indoor pool and gym. Gym was closed for renovations and the pool was extremely cloudy and the pumps were not on. Didn’t use. We inquired with management but he provided no information. Our room faced 59/49 interchange and you could hear traffic noise all night long. Pro; breakfast was good

The hotel was under major renovations, it would have been good to know this before booking and definitely before arriving. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I would have liked to know about the renovations before booking or arriving.

Slow check in on game day

Arrived at 3:30 on Saturday. Was told the visiting college football team had just checked out so it would be 5 before we could check in. It ended up being 6. They should plan for that and increase the cleaning staff so the rooms get clean faster. Then the room I reserved online had a king bed with a pull out couch for the kids. I was told they dont offer that anymore. So we had 2 queen beds. My husband is too tall for that. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The food was good.
