In marked contrast to my last stay (a month ago) in a French budget hotel, this was exactly as I hoped: clean, friendly, with functioning wifi and a manager who immediately moved me to another room when it turned out the TV was not working. Good breakfast. I'd go again...

This is a simple hotel and it’s good for a short stay on a budget. No problems. Staff were helpful. Perfectly east stay.

Reception was not staffed when we arrived. Initially we were allocated and room on the second floor and there is no lift. We asked to be moved and were given one on the ground floor. The building and rooms are looking tired and dated. Our room was very small and felt quite claustrophobic. We chose an 08:30 breakfast and the choice was limited to what was left. On the plus side, the receptionist recommended an excellent restaurant for our evening meal.

I needed a stay for just one night as a stop on route and this hotel served that purpose very well. It offers an affordable stay with easy check-in and check-out and a clean room comfortable for a stay such as mine.

Close to motorways
Easy check in, although the receptionist spoke to me in German, although I spoke to her in French. She knew that we were English, but didn’t speak any English. She asked me to pay €18 in local tax, but when I gave her my credit card, she changed her mind. She only wanted cash !
The air con didn’t work in our room, & I guess it didn’t in the others as every window was open.

An unhappy stay
Room very small, very hot. Air conditioning very noisy. Walls very thin, could hear other guesrs snoring. Bed was uncomfortable, pillow small with no substance. Sorry guys, not a good experience.

Last minute booking as we had return home. Usual Roi Sol efficiency and value. Fast food outlets nearby if like us it was a late arrival. Sadly we had to leave early so missed their excellent breakfast!!

Great price, 15 minute drive from the Basel airpor
Great price for a little place 15 minute drive away from the Basel airport. More like a Motel 6 or Super 8 motel in the states, but clean, comfortable, and at an unbeatable price.
Having stayed at the Ilzach branch on the way to Italy we stopped here on our way back. Although the room seemed a little smaller and perhaps slightly more dated, the standard of cleanliness was similarly of the highest order and the service from the staff superb.
Best of all we arrived, by complete chance, on the day of a Soiree Raclette. We were provided with a really excellent meal and accompanying wines .... and all free of charge!!!
We will certainly be returning to this small chain of hotels in Alsace on future trips.
Excellent value for money, plus well worth paying extra for the breakfast. Lovely fresh bread. Friendly welcome. A good Cortepaille restaurant just a 5 minute walk away.
Rooms small n stinky, very hot. Could not open the windows due to the horrible blue neon light decorations on the hotel building and very noisy all night long. Worst places I have ever stayed.
This hotel is not the best quality but it was just a pit stop for us anyways. However, the beds were the most comfortable we had during our 17 night vacation. Noise from neighbors was a problem though.
This hotel is ideal for an overnight stop during a long journey, which is what we used it for. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant on site but a short walk or drive away there are a selection of options (near the centre commercial). If you do not want to go out then there are machines in the entrance which give sandwiches and hot food.
Breakfast was ok, not a huge selection of food but plenty of what there was.
Ample car parking and free wifi a definite bonus.
Definitely cheap and cheerful, would stay there again on my travels.
