“The outside of the building doesn’t look great right now because of renovations, so I was worried when getting there, but the inside was great for our little family, and the location is amazing. The unit has everything you need. We loved the private beach and saw a lot of turtles visit throughout the day. This side of the island is so pretty as well. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“I find the high ratings for Pats at Punalua misleading and questionable.This is the worst place we have ever stayed.Our 5th unit floor was roach infested. We killed 7 cockroaches during our stay, while several more got away. There is no lock on the balcony door, and the screen door has holes. Continuous road noise at night from the busy highway in front of the complex made it impossible to sleep in the bedroom. There was no dresser or bureau to store clothing. “The view of the ocean was the only positive for this condo. The A/C consists of portable indoor units which are very noisy. The mattress on the bed was very thin and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. There is a lot of construction on site for building maintenance and so the parking lot is a mess. We had to park a quarter of a mile down the street. Walking to and from the car was dangerous and inconvenient, as the road is busy. The lock boxes are in a very poorly lit hallway. “Everything was as pictured! There was everything you would need for the beach available in this unit. Towels, knee boards, snorkles, toys, chairs etc. Don't waste space by packing your own, they have it all here for you! It was a great time to visit Punaluu in Dec!”
