Beautiful and serene hotel. Staff was so nice n easy restaurant on site. Laundry facility clean and new, love the easy online pay. Only complaint, please put coffee machines in rooms!

Such a welcoming boutique hotel with the open air feel of an old Hawaii resort. Lots of tropical gardens, wood featured walls and floors. Lovely pool and reception areas. Rooms are basic and not quiet but the open air features made it all worth it. Bed was sufficient. Very Clean. Beautiful bay views and coi pond to sit by. Easy walk to town and airport so close. Such attentive staff. I will totally stay here again.

The lobby and grounds of the property are beautiful. The staff is super friendly. Although we didn’t use the bikes and the paddle boards, having them as an option for free is nice. The pool area is really neat as were the Koi ponds. We spent many hours out on our balcony watching the fish. I do have to agree with some other reviewers with the conditions of the rooms. It does look like they took an old hotel and just slapped some new paint on the rooms. The bathroom wasn’t updated and there was other peoples hair clung to the walls. I felt like the room and the hallways could be cleaner. Also don’t expect a large TV in the rooms. They are 32 inches at best. The beds are very comfortable and it was nice to be able to have the option of air conditioning. I did like that our stay helps the community but I thought the price was a little high once I seen the condition of the room.

Lovely staff, beautiful gardens, attractive lobby, live music at night. Found the rooms were very basic and shower/tub far too small for my teenage son but unit was clean and convenient.

It was as a lovely stay! The pool is beautiful, they have lots of common area space to take advantage of, staff is friendly and accommodating. We took a short walk and saw sea turtles right in the pond! If I had one complaint it would be how loud it is from your room (we were in an essential room, garden view), if someone is walking by or a neighbor opens/shuts their door it sounds like it’s your door and/or they are talking literally right outside. It startled me a few times, particularly when the house keeping cart comes by. Luckily I had headphones, but I believe they also have sound machines you can ask the front desk for given that some of the rooms come with them.

I COULD NOT SLEEP! This place is soooooo loud. I've stayed at so many places over many years and this is by far the loudest. You can hear everything. Everything, cars running, cars moving, doors opening and closing, neighbors coughing, neighbors walking, glasses setting down, toilets flushing, talking voices, crying voices, cleaning throats, yawning, tables and chairs moving. The next morning we still heard it all AND it was the hotel staff YELLING conversations with each other in a foreign language. FOR HOURS. My family is exhausted with awful head aches this morning.

Had a very good stay, staff very friendly and helpful, easily accessible amenities (hot water and coffee at front desk 24/7, utensils, canned beverages, water bottle refill station), and clean room. Definitely would recommend if you need a convenient place to stay in the Hilo area (within walking distance to Ken's)!

I stayed in two different rooms. The more affordable one was dirty when I arrived (including fecal matter on the toilet seat, a weird looking dirty something next to the bed etc.). At that point I already had an issue with front desk staff making mistake charges on my card re: previous, directly booked nights and being incredibly difficult, ineffective and unfair about it. When I inquired with them they repeatedly said things like "let us explain to YOU agaiiiin" - when it was actually their mistake, plus a power outage that caused issues for other guests as well plus their bad communication around all of it that caused the issue. So when I got the new room (this time booked via Expedia to prevent any more weird charges), I wasn't in the mood to make a complaint with front desk staff again and just got disinfectant wipes from the gym and sorted it out myself. The place has a great concept and nice employees overall, they also gave me a discount for the whole confusion they caused. But the latter was *still* not resolved days after checking out and my bank had to be involved to sort it out and settled the account. Very frustrating and the cleanliness issue straight up disgusting. Good coffee shop diner as well as ocean nearby and nice pool though.

NO microwave, or coffee maker in room. Noise level high because we were by the pool. Shower tub did not drain properly one time even backed up. Request for repair of broken light Was not fixed even though they said someone would come over. However they did fix the next day. Overall nice, helpful desk workers, liked the music several times a week.

Older buildings but fun place, feels like vintage Hawaii with some updated style. It has some activities that make your stay more memorable- live music, yoga, paddle boards, bikes, pool, nice common spaces. Also water, tea and coffee in the lobby.

Nothing fancy or sparkly. Just affordable, clean and comfortable rooms (not as quiet when we stayed near the pool-hwy noise). But waking up to coffee waiting in the lobby and turtles swimming across the road left a great memory.

Great location, but I was surprised at the cost considering the facility , this is a very old hotel that has been partially renovated, the parking is difficult and very limited. The staff was amazing, the facilities are clean and the bed was really comfortable

Older facility, the garden, koi pond is nice. Free use of paddle boards is awesome, with a park that has beautiful water access across the street. The terrible part is I believe on the bottom floor due to the garden bugs get in to the rooms and yes they were roaches...
