Good location near the ocean

Pros: View of the beach and hearing the waves crash into the shore
Cons: In between our two nights, our room was not made up. We did receive new towels, but the trash was not emptied, nor was the bed made.
Decent hotel for the price, and a nice location for walking downtown near the ocean.

Pros: The friendliness of the staff.
Cons: A few renovations could be done in the bathrooms.
Location: There are a lot of shops and lots of restaurants that you can walk to.
The people that work here are the nicest people. They are very helpful and go out of their way . to help you find things to do. I think the smaller hotels have the friendliest staff.

Cheap and disappointed

Room was cheap In price so I knew I wasn't getting much for my money and I was right! The bed sucked, hard and sloped down toward the middle, the pillows were tiny (half the size of normal pillows) we only spent 1 night here and hardly slept...not because we wanted to but because it was soooo uncomfortable. The staff is friendly and nice but the hotel itself badly needs updating, in great walking distance to restaurants and down town kona which is the ONLY reason we stayed here. Will not be staying here ever again

Nice hotel for price but needs renovations

For the price this was a decent hotel stay ...the staff made this place a better stay the hotel room itself was very outdated and could use some upgrades but for the price this was not bad

Great location, a bit run down but cheap

Right in the centre of town. There are some things about the hotel which need updating, but the room rate reflects that. Breakfast was very basic. Staff were great

Convenient Place

Cons: update interior rooms would make it perfect
Location: beach, beach views and swim
It is a very convenient place to stay, you don't need to spent time for a simple breakfast at other place. beautiful in town close to beach, enjoy beach views everyday, every where. the only thing is the hotel little bit too old.

Good location but needs serious updating!

Good location if you intend on exploring the downtown shops and restaurants. Front desk staff and the "breakfast" attendant were very nice, but the housekeeping staff was rude and dismissive. One staff member was talking to another member in a stair well and blocking our way. After about 30 seconds of us standing there with all our bags, I said excuse me. She gave me a dirty look and then reluctantly moved out of the way. This hotel is VERY outdated, but was also very inexpensive, so I shouldn't really complain.
