Clean older motel. Breakfast was good lots of food choices. Our room had 2 sinks which was nice when getting ready in the morning. Friendly staff.

Stay in Hays!
The bed was so soft it was like sleeping on a pillow. Turned on water to take a shower and a bunch of orangish brown stuff came out of faucet. Then the water! The two young men that checked me in and the one that checked me out. Dressed like they were homeless! The construction workers eating breakfast were dressed better. Would not recommend to other travelers.

Stayed here while driving through Hays and needed to stop for the night due to inclement weather. Room was clean, breakfast was good! Easy on and off the interstate access.

This is one of the better properties in Hays for a reasonable price. It's convenient being right off the interstate. Several places to eat within walking distance and a conveniece store too. Staff is friendly. I feel safe here which is important to me as a senior female traveling alone. I come through here several times a year and this is my go to. Good hot breakfast!!

Nice stop. Steak house next door is good! Advice-don’t get room 215. It’s next to the office and you can hear everything going on in there. TV/phone calls, etc. Nice hot breakfast.

Very friendly and informative front desk clerk last night. Outside entry room was quiet (back side) and door had 2 locks. Rom has a table and 2 chairs. Beds and pillows were comfy. Shower was hot. Sink faucet, bathroom door and shower nozzle needs maintenance in room 213. Looked like room was sprayed for bug maintenance, however better vacuuming needs to be done afterwards.

In need of an update
The price was affordable and the customer service was good but the room, not so inviting. The overall appearance was that of being tired, that of “just throw some paint on it and it will be fine”. The smell of the room was that of one that had been smoked in for 40 years - stale cigarette smoke mixed in with humidity, the carpet had a weird feeling, anything that was once white had turned yellow, the inside of the bathroom door had something brown smeared by the door knob, the bathtub needed a lot of help, and the overflow drain in the sink was dirty and rusty and in need of a good clean. Overall, I was very uncomfortable and will definitely pick another hotel next time I pass through Hays.

For our purpose, to rest at the halfway point of a trip, the hotel was fine. Nothing fancy. Seemed clean, old, but clean. No weird smells, bed/ pillows comfy. The only downside was some weird clicking type sound , maybe from the fridge. Overall we’d stay here again driving this trip.

Good I-70 stop
This is an older property but well maintained. Quite suitable for breaking up the I70 drive. The only negative was a lot of flies but I suspect that is more of a location and time of year issue.

I was not aware this motel had no elevator & was originally given a room on the 2nd floor. When I told the clerk I couldn't handle the stairs, he offered to carry my bags up to the room for me. I then asked if there was a room available on the ground floor, and the only one he could provide me was an ADA room. There was no issue with this room, other than the fact that it smelled like urine. the toilet also needs attention, as the chain that raises the the bobber to let it flush was broken. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay for a fair price. But please… Steam clean those carpets!
