The hotel is old and badly needs a renovation. It looks like the carpets and furniture has probably never been changed since the hotel was built. The beds were pretty clean and the AC worked well. The shower had hot water but it was extremely creaky when you stepped into it the sound was as like the shower was about to fall apart. The refrigerator in the room hardly worked, but was just able to lower the temp of a drink below room temp. Don’t expect much more then a bed to sleep in, but if that’s all you need it works.

It was absolutely nasty. It needs to be updated. Air conditioner didn’t work well. The window was so nasty you couldn’t see out.

Room was stale smelling, the cover was seemingly dirty - I would not doubt there were bedbugs but I can't prove that yet. Very noisy from outside and terribly noisy a/c unit that woke me up multiple times. Some of the lights did not work. It took about 4-5 minutes to get water warm enough in the morning to take a shower. When I arrived they did not have my Expedia reservation. They did have a room however. When I checked in ty hey showed me there of 7 day instead of one. After my argument and showing my confirmation, they changed it to one night. Is that enough bad things? The ONLY good thing was that it was close to my business connection.

The hotel is older and the bathtub creaked every time I step into the bath/shower and anytime I moved during the shower. The bed was comfortable and the accommodations were adequate but not what I was used to. My wife would have not stayed. Location and the ease of getting to the hotel was great. Will look for another place should I go to the area again.

Everyone at the desk was so friendly and helpful, even showed us how to get to the room and gave us directions to see the Mother Goose house. The bed was amazingly comfortable. It was a convenient stop on our trip. They are still renovating rooms, but ours was very nice. I hope they replace the rugs with washable flooring like other hotels are doing, it seems cleaner and better for people with allergies. Nice on the run breakfast. Thank you.
Local attraction - the Mother Goose House. You never know what you’ll see when you take the unbeaten path.

It was a horrible experience, the front desk person was so very rude that we decided to not even stay at the property, he was blantly disrespectful. He also tried to charge us 20 dollars more than the Normal asking price but when we said we were just going to leave he said that he could let us pay the normal price. Would never stay there!

This is an older motel mostly occupied by travelling construction workers and what I would assume to be homeless people. The room's walls were yellow with smoke stains, the smell was overwhelming, and the noise from the dozen people hanging out in lawnchairs below our room was hard to block out even with A/C on high and a noise machine app on my phone. The carpet and bathroom floor were stained...everything seemed to be very old, very sparse, and not updated (80's-90's maybe?). The check in was fine and the office worker was friendly, but quality and safety seems to be an issue here. The other 2 motels in Hazard were completely booked so we had to stay here, taking the last room per Expedia with a king-sized bed....however upon check in it was one double bed. We were only there to sleep for a few hours before volunteering so after making sure there were no bed bugs we made the best of it and slept. I'd warn a family with children or single mom with kids away from here as it is pretty rough inside and out.

Just passing through and looking for a place to sleep. Based on the decent reviews, ended up here. That’s where the good ends. Check in involved a meeting with what I think was a prostitute and lucky me, she was in the room right next to us! The room was filthy and the lock on the door didn’t work. The hotel itself was in a run down area. There was a steady flow shady locals, visiting my neighbor and my wife was so freaked out that she demanded we leave that hotel, which we eventually did. This place was really, really bad. Unless your stopping to visit my neighbor, stay away.. You’ve been warned!.

This is not a kid friendly hotel. I have a 2 year old, and was told there was a noise complaint made at 8 pm. You can not stay here comfortably with a child.

Served the purpose.
Stayed for work at the hospital which is across the street. Such an old and outdated place. Bed wasn’t the worst I’ve ever slept on. Linens were as old and minimal as you can imagine. However, it was cheap and convenient for me. Just don’t go there expecting a nice stay. Staff was as nice as can be.

It was only okay
Workers were very friendly but there was a very stong fragrance in reception area. The room had a bit of a musty smell. It was nice we were able to open the window to help air it out, however we couldnt turn on heat because it had a dust burning off smell. The continental breakfast was very limited. Parking was decent.
