Had a good experience overall it was a very unique place to stay . Only difficulty was finding our way around it's kind of a maze. Only disappointment was shops were closed area under construction wish we would have known ahead of time to plan other things to do.

Hotel desk staff were not at desk when I checked in. It took a few minutes to get there to assist me. I was checked in and was asked if I wanted to self park or valet park for extra $20. I explained to the desk clerk that I needed to leave by 5:30am the next morning. She assured me that it was no problem to get my car at that time, therefore I choose to valet park. She told me about the fitness area, pool, and sundeck, also about the use of the elevators using my room key. The carpets were being professionally cleaned as I arrived to my floor. I noticed that there were areas in the carpet that were "wrinkled". It could cause someone to fall if not seen. But it as clean. Once I got into my spacious rooms, I was looking for the TV channel guide and found in a drawer men's underweare and jeans. That was a little unnerving, knowing the housekeeping staff didn't find it when cleaned. My room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and most of all my room was so quiet!!! I loved the quietness!!!! Next morning I checked out and asked for my car to be retrieved and was told that valet service didn't arrive at 7am. I told her that I had asked the clerk last night about that and was assured I could get my car at that time. She called the security to get my key so that I could get my car. Also it took a bit for someone to come to the desk when I wanted to the desk when I wanted to check out. It was a nice hotel for the price..<$100.00 in downtown St Louis!

The hotel is in an older but still quite elegant building. The staff is excellent -- friendly and helpful. Our room was adequate, but certainly not large. Looking out the window, we could see the air conditioning units on the building next door -- but come on, this is after all a building in the center of the city.
The furniture in the public areas -- lounge, restaurant, bar -- looks quite new and attractive but was not at all comfortable.
The food was very good, and I liked their beer selection.
$30 a day for parking is steep, but there are other less expensive places to park nearby.

"Underrated hotel, great stay on Valentine's Day "
I have stayed here several times and this hotel is excellent. It has all the minimum necessities and amenities. The rooms are spacious, clean, and decorated with modern decor. Some have a amazing view of the arch on the other side of the river! Location is just a few minutes away from downtown and relatively safe since it's in the casino area. The winner for me was they were extra accommodating on Valentine's Day. There are spa jacuzzi king rooms but I had booked a normal room (even normal rooms are a deal, less than $100 on most nights with free parking), they upgraded me anyways at no charge. There were chocolate covered strawberries in the fridge and I hadn't even requested those. Maybe it was the perks of Expedia+ Gold but I truly appreciate the effort the staff had made. Great job Queen!

We recently stayed for a concert at Ameristar. It was conveniently close to the casino, we took a quick Uber ride over. It is also right by historic St. Charles Main Street. The staff was fine, no issues there. The room was extremely comfortable. We thought we got a great price for the quality of the hotel. Only thing is, I will free breakfast was included! But if you are wanting something on-the-go, there are a McDonalds and Jack in the Box close by.
