Around 10-15 minutes from Pocono Mountain area, and it’s right on Highway 80. It’s nice, quiet and convenient.

Overall, our stay at Holiday Inn Express was excellent value for money. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast provided a good variety of options, and the location was convenient for exploring the Poconos (20 mins away).

Property is in a convenient location for our needs. The furniture in the breakfast area is a bit worn, but staff indicated that renovations are already scheduled to start next month.

Gross hallways in an ok hotel.
The hallways of this hotel smell dirty, have a bunch of chipped paint and the carpet is disgusting. But the rooms are in reasonably good condition. They are clean enough. Breakfast is a sugar-banquet. You can get decent coffee, though. Its an ok place just to sleep; quiet and the temperature control is good. Night desk was helpful and friendly. It could be decent if they cleaned the halls.

Travelocity said this location was 16 miles from Jim Thorpe. That’s false advertising. It’s well over 25 miles and over 40 minutes drive. I would not have chose this location as we are visiting Jim Thorpe and wanted to be within around 20 minutes drive.

My checkin was very strange. Was not asked to leave a credit card for incidentals, meaning that there is actuality no record of my checking in! Was put in a room on the first floor, 2nd from the last room in that corridor With all the sex trafficking and being retired law enforcement I did not feel comfortable! Asked to move to a higher floor, knowing that it is harder to take someone against their will, without being seen. Was moved to the 3rd floor. Was so serious about my feelings that I dug out my retired shield and made sure the man at the desk saw. He could not read the word retired across the shield from his position. I’m making this post so all that sees knows I did indeed check in. Also had my husband call and ask for my room.

Hotel is comfortable but it is showing need for updating. It’s 2 stars are pretty accurate. In the valley we’re j stayed 2 bites prices were really much lower and modernity very visible I’m surprised at the brokenness of Hazelton and the outlandish prices for hotel rooms
