Expedia, the room that wasn't!!!

We made our reservations before we left Daytona for our motorcycle trip to Okeechobee for an overnight stay. After driving 165 miles and arriving around midnight, to an empty lobby, locked doors and no one answering the phone right away. A man appeared from the back room, it appeared we woke him up, after a brief conversation he informed us that he was booked up. He went on to explain Expedia should never have sent him a confirmation considering he had no rooms.
Now, after standing around the motel parking lot for an hour trying to find a room for the night, a women from town asked us if we had a problem and we explained what happened and she made a phone called a friend who was able to put us up for the night.
Iv'e had it with Expedia and this will never happen to me again.
