It was a nice quiet stay. Nobody bothered us the 3 nights we stayed. Very nice and beautiful place. Wish the resturant would have been in busniess. It was down for renovations.

The motel was clean, but the bathrooms need to be updated, the fixtures are old. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub they were in good condition.

In dire need of a remodel!
Honestly the only good thing was the bed. Very comfortable. Took forever to cool the room down, water pressure is so bad, whole room needs to be updated from the ceiling to the carpet. Chair in the corner was dirty and torn. Tile in shower was separating. Molding inside sliding door is broke. Stained carpet. For the price and location, I would’ve expected way better.

It was our first time visiting the property. Mike, the general manager was very helpful and accommodating. It is a beautiful place. Can not wait to visit again.

Property was in disrepair. The tub was not caulked properly and there were gaps in the piece of plastic they tried to cover it with. There were spiders living in the shower and paint was peeling off the ceiling in our room. There were gaps in the ancient sliding doors that let the cold air in. The ice machine was out of order by our room and the towels were like sandpaper. The restaurant was closed, the winery was closed and we were greatly disappointed.

This place certainly has potential! The grounds are beautiful ~ but the rooms are in desperate need of a refresh and renovation!! The smell of mold and mildew was so strong we actually packed up the car and left at 10pm not even staying the night, driving back to Atlanta. Very old and needs to be deep cleaned including the drapes. Cracks and holes in the walls. Front staff was very nice!! The pool was beautiful!

Should have listened!!
We should have heeded the reviews. They were true about the horrible conditions and then some. I am so upset that my husband’s birthday night had to be moved to a Quality Inn!!! Trying to get a refund, but not sure I can since it was marked non refundable. This place smelled bad, was severely outdated, had bugs, and should NOT be called a resort!

LOVED OUR STAY - THANKS MIKE!!
WONDERFUL Manager (Mike) made our stay memorable and enjoyable despite the difficulty staffing while the US government pays folks ridiculously to not work instead. The location is beautiful and quiet, and everyone around was friendly. A bit older property, but maintained well and very clean.

The room we had was very run down. Never got the shower to hold proper temperature. Ants were in the sink. Bathtub had separated caulking. Carpet was very old and dirty. Not a horrible place just run down. Defiantly not worth the $150 we spent. On the bright side the Staff we encountered were awesome.

Has potential to be nice. Went to wine tasting room but they were closing. Booked hotel for hot tub/ sauna but was COVID closed but wasn’t noted during booking. Shower had mold in it, coffee pot still had filter in it from last guest. Bed was uncomfortable. Rooms were spacious with a nice balcony. And bathroom had an overhead heater which was great.

Very nice resort a few miles from downtown Clayton. Greens looks taken care of but I did not golf. NO MASKS! Loved our pre-Christmas Vacation and will most definitely return in the Spring or Summer!

RUN Down
Run down needs a gutting to match to consumer experience. Small small TV. Everything is original. Maybe 20 years old property. Has that musty smell. Thanks goodness we brought our air cleaner.

Facilities were nice if you were a golfer, which we are not. Pool looked very nice. Our room was outdated. Chair had tears on it. Bathroom door was a slide out door, not very private. Balcony sliding door was extremely hard to open. Paint peeling off the walls. Really needed a face lift for being a "resort" facility.

Quick overnight family stay
Last minute 1 night booking with my family on our way to Pigeon Forge. Room was clean and service was good. Google maps took us to the wrong location for the lodge.

Great value for $, needs some updates tho
The staff was polite, courteous, and very helpful. The grounds were well groomed and quiet as well. The property overall needs quite a bit of renovations though, as the curtain to the balcony was tagged and torn, and the paint was peeling all over it as well. It would have been beneficial to have a microwave as well, since the facility still had no amenities open due to the pandemic (mid-June) and it's a fairly decent drive even to the closest restaurant. In spite of these things, I would stay here again without hesitation, and plan on doing so again in the future.

Great service and good continental breakfast. Nice views from the balcony. It is a little outdated, but the room was clean, which is what matters to me. The hot tub is separate for men and women, and I was hoping it was for both, but that was OK too.
