Holiday getaway
Location was perfect for us, close enough to her to main street in just a few minutes- far enough to get quiet and privacy. Check in and out process was seamless, instructions were clear. Balcony had a pretty view. Gas grill worked. Plenty of blankets, Would give everything 5 stars except extremely dusty in most areas and a few blankets did not smell clean but we got detergent and washed everything problem solved, washer and dryer worked great and full sized. A few dishes had old food stuck on them and cabin was pretty dated, also had to get our own logs for fire pit. Overall, would rent again now that we know what to expect. The are is stunning.

Nice place.
Kitchen & house were well appointed with everything that we needed. Nice screened porch across back of house, perched up in the treetops and looking into the woods.

Good pet friendly place
Nice little place, parking is a little tight, but we made it work parking 1 truck and driving one. We rented a golf cart with the hopes of driving that instead of our truck, but REC rentals won't let you drive the golf cart into Innsbrooke.

Cozy rustic mountain cabin
We had a great time here! Myself, my husband, and our two teenagers stayed here for spring break. It’s a short drive into town. The cabin is so cute and cozy. It was cold while we were there but plenty of extra blankets and space heaters were provided which was helpful as all of the bedrooms are in the basement which gets chilly. My daughter LOVED the soft bed that I saw others mention in reviews and said it was the most comfy bed she’d ever slept in. The floors are upstairs very creaky so I’d recommend a noise machine or earplugs if you have late sleepers who don’t want to be awoken by people upstairs. I’d also recommend bringing hangers as none are provided in the closets. We had 4 people so we were fine with the number of towels but you might need to bring extra if you have more people. The washer and dryer worked great and all the appliances and cooking equipment were new. All in all, the cabin was cozy, safe, and in a beautiful area. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Needs Updating
Had I read what I’m writing about this property, I would not have rented this property. It is a quaint home in a great location, however it is terribly outdated and not well maintained. The upstairs bathroom shower is in poor condition. The water spout practically comes off the wall, the tub flooring has 2 strips of Velcro on it, for what I don’t know. They issue only 1 towel per person for the stay. Fine, if they were in good condition it wouldn’t be an issue. One shower towel even had a whole in it. The kitchen was also lacking, dish soap is provided but no scrub. How is anyone supposed to clean dishes used? The pans have all been scraped through the Teflon which makes you wonder what you’re even cooking on. I resorted to buying paper plates and utensils to prep what little breakfast items I needed to eat off of. Never made a meal with the items provided other than the toaster. Kitchen towels and mits were old and grimy. The bedrooms were ok, but the mattresses were subpar. In a previous review I read that the mattress in one room was bad, I had hopes that since October it would have been resolved, it wasn’t. The patio furniture was unusable. All broken, held up with chains, dilapidated and just terrible conditions. This property permitted pets and we brought ours. I just didn’t understand why there was a used dog bed lying around in the living room. Anyone who brings their pet will bring bedding for it. Furniture was overall outdated, used and faded. The whole property just gives off a lack of cleanliness all around. This could be a great little gem in the mountains, with lots of love and care.

Spacious and quiet in a gated community. The cabin was everything you want in a home away from home! The only downfall is the upstairs wood floors need work because they creak and make a lot of noise that you can hear downstairs in the bedrooms. I would rent it again though!

all things considered...
Very nice, spacious, and clean. Loved the screened in porch. Check in and out was easy. One of the queen sized beds was Horrible! Very, very soft. No box spring which may have helped, but probably just needs a good mattress replacement. The other two bedroom beds were fine. Location to downtown Helen was nice, but the twists, turns, and ups, and downs of the road to get to the cabin was sort of a challenge.

Cute town worth a trip
Knotty Bear was a spacious cabin and very clean and well decorated. Master bed was very comfortable and everything worked well. Water was hot for shower, gas grill and laundry machines were like new. Plenty of convenience to kitchen including ice machine. All rooms had ceiling fans and AC worked great. No issues with WI-FI or tv. However there was no DVD players or games provided. If that’s something u like bring your own. There was plenty of sitting space for 4 people and the furniture was as posted. The cabin was only a five minute drive to town. Roads were tight and steep. Parking would be tight with multiple cars. There were two things about the cabin I didn’t like. One was the lighting. It felt like we were in a cave because of the angle the cabin was built at there was no natural light coming in and it was always dark due the mountain wall. Also cabin is like backed into the mountain wall so there is no view. The second thing was there are stairs with all bedrooms being downstairs on the bottom. The stairs were steep and once down there the door to the outside leads to a another set of steep stairs to go up to the main deck which was difficult to let dog out. The downstairs was all tile floor and it was significantly colder down there. Maybe from tile. Tile was tough on the feet too. The management company had a lot of rules posted in house and in a book. Some of them were a little off putting . Trash barrel outside is not big enough and they said to call for them to pick up if you had more than two bags. But overall the cabin was safe, comfortable and spacious. Would recommend . We loved the town and would come back again. You did have to pay to park in the town. Food options were plentiful and weather was cool in the mornings. Also hiked the Anna Ruby Falls which was great and worth the steep climb.
