The RICH HISTORY of our valley and surrounding mountains is amazing - from indian tribes long before history began (Mayan); the Cherokee tribes have left us with monuments, mounds, and proof of how they lived before the Trail of Tears. The area is known for its gold mining, marble mining and the oldest mountains, worldwide, as well as the largest documented number of flora and fauna. Chances are, one of the notches you see atop a mountain was used by Native Indians as a place of worship or fielding their stock.

Best mountain getaway
Karen and Dave we were the best hosts! They allowed my husband and I to elope in their gorgeous back yard. The scenery was impeccable! Super clean home as well. I could not recommend this home enough and can’t wait to come back soon.

Peaceful weekend getaway!
This property was amazingly clean and well stocked. My mom and I loved the backyard space with fire pit and running creek. We also loved the gas fireplaces and comfortable beds. Owners are wonderful communicators! We will definitely be looking to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Comfortable and quiet
We had a great little stay with our two boys who loved playing in the creek. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed.

Serene and peaceful
Our Christmas trip was perfect thanks to our great hosts and a beautiful property. The cabin was tastefully decorated for the holidays. The owner took the time to drive to the cabin on the day of our arrival to make sure road was not iced over. The attention to detail was evident in every nook and cranny. I would love to visit this property again when the rhododendrons are blooming. Thanks for a great holiday experience-complete with snow!

Beautiful Home
We really enjoyed our stay!! It felt like we were staying at a friend’s home, rather than a rental. There were so many little extras and amenities, we were not left without anything. We brought everything we needed, as typically in rentals you need to, but the owners have taken care of all the extra little touches to make their guests comfortable. We really appreciated all the little things left for us. The master suite was gorgeous, and perfect for our family of four (including two small kids). We really loved having two bathrooms up there!! My parents were able to stay downstairs which was more accessible for them and gave us each our own space. My favorite part was the stream in the backyard. It was so amazing and tranquil!! The kids loved exploring in the backyard too. The house does sit on a road that had quite a bit of traffic and many cars driving pretty fast, so we didn’t let the kids out front unless we were leaving. Otherwise, the area was very nice and comfortable. The home is easily accessible, just a short drive off the main access roads. You don’t have to drive up twisty mountain roads or anything like that and it is all paved. The living room and kitchen area on the smaller side if you have more than 4 people, but are definitely adequate. The dining table seats 6 comfortably, plus two bar stools at the island. There is also great outdoor space to spread out; weather dependent. Everything is well stocked and decorated very nicely. There were many family games, books, etc. We had fun playing Monopoly together several times. They had decorated so much for the holidays, and everything was so cute and tasteful. I would definitely recommend staying here.
